Vehicle History

August 2020 Go North East Photograph by As the intended Volvo B11RT/Plaxton Elitei coaches from Oxford Bus Company will not be delivered by 5 September, by which point the temporary Volvo B9TL allocation will need to be displaced as the schools return, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford to Riverside. From 5 September 2020, the X9/X10 services will see an interim allocation of three Volvo B9R/Caetano Levante coaches and four Volvo B11RT/Caetano Levante 2 coaches, the latter of which are displaced from National Express temporarily due to the majority of their services currently being suspended.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Deptford, for use on rail replacement contracts and ad-hoc private hire only.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
February 2020 Go North East Photograph by As part of the ongoing work into the new "Northern Coaching" unit, this vehicle has been re-registered. This vehicle has received cherished registration mark 'FCU 190', with its original plate (BF63 ZRC) held on retention.
February 2020 Go North East Following the recent application of the Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR), Go North East is raising the profile of its small contracted coach operation with newer vehicles being cascaded from its other operations and is grouping its 100% PSVAR wheelchair accessible fleet together under a new ‘Northern Coaching’ banner which will see each coach painted in a different retro colour scheme reflecting the glory days of British coaching from across the North of England. Designed to evoke some nostalgia with a fun modern twist, it has brought back the name of "Armstrong Galley" on this coach, which has now been repainted and branded accordingly.
January 2020 Go North East Photograph by As a result of the entry into service of the five new coaches within Chester-le-Street Depot's Coaching Unit, this vehicle has been allocated to the Special Events Fleet. The five displaced coaches are being used on Rail Replacement each weekend until 3 March 2020, with two stored and maintenance carried out at Deptford Depot during the week.
