This vehicle has received "Lambton Worm" branding, with sub-branding for service 71 (Chester-le-Street - Houghton-le-Spring - Sunderland). The Lambton Worm is a legend from County Durham in North East England in the UK. The story takes place around the River Wear, and is one of the area's most famous pieces of folklore, having been adapted from written and oral tradition into pantomime and song formats.

Following the entry into service of new Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro vehicles at Gateshead Depot, this vehicle has transferred from Gateshead Depot to Chester-le-Street.

This vehicle has been acquired by Go North East for a demonstration trial to evaluate suitability of this vehicle type on minibus and midibus routes in the company's network. Allocated fleet number 9101, this vehicle is now being prepared for service.

Previously with Brighton & Hove as fleet number 915, this vehicle has now joined the Go North East fleet. It is one of the first in the batch to be amalgamated into Go North East's fleet, thought to be being disposed of by Brighton & Hove due to their increased length (11.9m) compared to a standard Scania OmniDekka (10.6m).
