This vehicle has received "The Crusader" branding, with sub-branding for the new 27 service, which operates between Newcastle City Centre and South Shields, via Gateshead, Heworth, Hebburn and Jarrow.

In line with service changes effective 27th January 2008, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Gateshead. It has also been fitted with a new LED front destination display, but retains the flipdot side and rear displays.
