From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Chester-le-Street.

Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.

This vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Chester-le-Street. At Chester-le-Street, this vehicle should see primary allocation to services 28/28A. This transfer has taken place due to contract changes resulting in services 67/69 at Riverside requiring Euro 5 emission vehicles. Once similar Optare Versa 8307 - 8309 are fitted with Euro 6 SCRTs, this vehicle will return to Riverside.

Following the service revisions last weekend, a number of vehicles were unable to transfer to their new depots on Sunday 19 May due to being off service, instead transferring following completion of repairs. This vehicle has transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Riverside, in order to replace older Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles.

From 28th January 2018, Go North East are making changes to a number of services to improve reliability and to allow new travel opportunities. As part of these service changes, "South Tyne" services 88/88A have been withdrawn and replaced by revised service 9 and new "Crusader" service 26. As such, this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot, to allow completion of repaint prior to cascade to another route.

With the operation of "South Tyne" services 88/88A transferring to Riverside Depot as part of service changes effective Sunday 17th April 2016, this vehicle has transferred from Washington Depot to Riverside.

Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite vehicles on "Saltwell Park" services 53/54, this vehicle has transferred from Gateshead Depot to Washington. Although initially suggested that this vehicle will be used to upgrade "Washington Street Shuttle" services M2/M3; it will instead be used to upgrade "South Tyne" services 88/88A with the DAF SB120/Wright Cadet vehicles currently allocated to services 88/88A re-allocated to services M2/M3 to allow the Mini Pointer Darts allocated to these services to be withdrawn, hence providing an upgrade in capacity on these services.

This vehicle, which carries a plain green base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet, and is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. It is of 'Gold Standard' specification; featuring full CCTV coverage and recording, information screens, and comfortable seats for all including priority seating with a wheelchair bay for elderly and disabled customers.

Following the return from refurbishment of the entire batch of vehicles intended to be allocated to the X84/X85 services, Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro 5298 to 5302, this vehicle has now received "Tynedale Express" branding. Having been withdrawn from service at Gateshead Depot; this vehicle has been moved to Smiles Engineering, Newcastle upon Tyne, where it will be stored and used for spare parts. It is thought that the engine will be used on similar 5350 (BX54 UCR), and other parts distributed amongst the other articulated Mercedes Citaro 0530G/Mercedes Citaro vehicles at Gateshead Depot.
