To allow greater flexibility of the Optare Versa allocations at Chester-le-Street Depot, the "See it, Do it, Sunderland" brand is being removed from the 36 service, following in the footsteps of the removal of the "Lambton Worm" brand from services 34/34A earlier this year. As such this vehicle has now been repainted into Go North East's corporate livery. This example carries the tagline "It's our fantastic people - all 2000 of them - that make the wheels on our buses go round and round".

In line with the operation of "See it, Do it, Sunderland" service 36 transferring from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street, this vehicle has also transferred to Chester-le-Street. Presently unbranded, they are due to receive "See it, Do it, Sunderland" branding imminently, with minor branding amendments. As a consequence, the existing "See it, Do it, Sunderland" branded Mercedes Citaros have temporarily taken up revised allocations at Deptford Depot. Service 61 will be allocated "See it, Do it" branded Mercedes Citaros, and one board on service 9 will be allocated a "See it, Do it" branded Mercedes Citaro, displacing one fleet livery Scania L94 to operate "SimpliCity" services 2/2A.

Having previously carried "SimpliCity" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain blue base livery. From Saturday 3rd June 2017, the operation of "See it, Do it, Sunderland" service 36 will transfer from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street. As Chester-le-Street do not have any Mercedes Citaros at the moment; service 36 will instead be allocated Optare Versas in a new blue base livery (albeit with amendments to the branding), which will standardise the vehicle types at each depot.

As a new Next Stop Announcement programme for the revised 2/2A services was not created following the service revisions earlier this year, this vehicle has lost its Next Stop Announcement kit. These kits have instead been fitted to the "The Orbit" branded vehicles at Riverside Depot ahead of service changes in July, which will see "QuayLink" service Q1 merged with "The Orbit" services 51/52.
