January 2019 Go North East This vehicle has been returned to ADL, following temporary loan to Go North East for demonstration trials.
December 2018 Go North East Following a brief trial at Washington Depot, this vehicle has now been withdrawn from service to allow the bus to be decommissioned ahead of its return to ADL.

December 2018 Go North East Photograph by During October 2018 this vehicle was exhibited at the Euro Bus Expo at the NEC, Birmingham, by ADL. It will now begin demonstration trials with operators up and down the country, starting off with a two-week loan period with Go North East, where it has been allocated fleet number 9081. The "Red Arrows" X1 and 921 services currently operate with a batch of Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs new in 2011 and 2012, and are now beginning to evaluate suitability of different vehicle types on these routes. This particular model features ADL's latest, and highest, specification, including; high-backed leather seating including seatbelts, tables and bins on the upper saloon, coat hangers, 'next stop' audio-visual announcements, USB charging points and mobile device stands with wireless charging to the rear of each seat.
