Ah right, didn't know that!
With the new Consett depot having electric vehicle charging stations... wonder if we have electric vehicles on order for Consett, as the 9 from funding will more likely end up at Riverside.

So:

11 electric buses for the Red kites - 45 and 46, leaving the 47 separate

Cascades:

10 Streetlites to Riverside replacing the Green Arrow Scania's

---------------------------

11 single deckers and 4 Electric deckers for the Red kites

Cascades:

10 Streetlite to Deptford, replacing the Scania's

-----

14 Electric deckers for the Red Kites + 2 spare

Cascades:

10 Streetlites to Green Arrow

4 B9's remain at Stanley to replace the Omnidekka's, Omnidekka's to replace the older decker buses in the fleet.

It will be sure interesting and if that’s the case and I think one of your suggestions maybe correct. This is the first I’ve heard of it. Electric buses could also possibly go on Durham Diamond Services anyone’s guess at the moment.

Might be wrong, but i don't think Hownsgill will have anymore than 4 electric charging points.

Are we sure they're for buses and not just for employees' cars?

From the last plan I saw it’s not for buses, but of course things do change
Lets look at the double deck PVRs
- Fab 56 (14)(16 with spares)
- Red Arrows (13x)(15 with spares)
- Tyne Valley Ten (16x)(18 with spares)

Therefore, the only 2x services that add up to 33 vehicles in total are the TVT + Red Arrows. And it's unlikely that GNE will re-increase the Red Arrows back to every 10 mins.

My prediction is as follows based on the TVT + Red Arrows getting new buses with spares as well:
- 6071-83 to Consett for Red Kites
- 6100 to Consett for Red Kites
- 6084 stays at Riverside incase Tachographs are re-introduced
- 6043/44 to Consett as spares
- 6045/46 to Percy Main as spares
- 6047/48 to Deptford as spares
- 6099 to Crook as spare for X21

Then:
- 6001-07 & 6049-55 to Consett replacing 6149-61
- 6149-61 & 6118-21 to EYMS

Might be a case of gne not replacing decker for decker, plenty of single decks need replacing

Aye i agree, i do wonder if any of the single decker routes get double deckers, the frequency will be dropped to accommodate the increase in seats, which may not be needed?

example - 60 gets B9's - drops to every 15 minutes
Why don't they not either re-fit 710-4 with euro 6 engines or replace them with newer euro 6 optare solo SRs as they are only 4

The low bridge on the route of the 60 may exclude that route from being upgraded to double-deck, though, unless we fancied a few more buses like 6000!

Aye but that was just an example, it was the first service which came to mind!
Looking at the allocations, I'd reckon all of the B9TLs from Riverside / Hexham (excl 6084) will transfer to Percy Main after a refurb once new buses have arrived for the TVT (got to be given the numbers for this years decker orders). That will then provide 16x for the Coaster + 3x spares covering a PVR of 33x (17x Cobalt Clipper and 16x Coaster).

The B5LHs I reckon will be either be moved to another Go Ahead division or maybe the following if kept within GNE:
- 8x CityLink 58 (if not upgraded with new electric single deck vehicles)
- 5x Blaydon Racers
- 2x Spare
I do hope Crusader 27 get (if it happens) Coaster buses because of increase capacity during hot weather and Metro problems where is no 900 in place and Mercs dont cope.

They only moved to the coaster last year, though.

And judging by the wording of it, I don't think anyone's guessed correctly where these are heading on the forum!

No allocations announced in the message, just types and numbers.
