Happened on the existing network - just so happened it was one of the Citylink Trams that was involved.

The vehicle involved was 399204 - seen here in happier times earlier in the year

Indeed, but it was operating a Tram-Train service at the time of the incident.
More trouble on the Supertram network.

Another Tram-Train crash this evening, 399202 is reported as being the tram involved:

It happened on the regular Supertram network at the exact same location as the incident that 399204 was involved in on the first day of the service to Rotherham last month:

Stagecoach contract coming to an end
Is the SuperTram (awful name) profitable? Also they are in desperate need for new trams
Whatever the state of the fleet, I suppose it saves passengers from having to take the long way home.
