Newcastle Central Station new entrances get go-ahead

A £4m plan to dramatically redesign Newcastle's Central Station has been given the green light.

That sounds very cheap for what they're doing. I'm guessing it's going to go way over budget (it's a council project, so that goes without saying)
Absolutely ridiculous it has been less than 20 years since they completely remodelled the front of the station. A complete waste of tax payer's money causing endless disruption for commuters. How about spending the money on reopening the railway to Ashington instead

Another needless vanity project.
