Lots of fond memories from that video including:

My favourite Tyne Tees logo.
My favourite Northern Life intro.

I wonder who made the bomb-threat? The smart money would be on the IRA, but it could have been someone else.

I liked how the Queen checked behind the curtain immediately after unveiling the plaque. It's best to check if it's still there, it is Gateshead after all Big Grin
Has anyone seen this or can you make out the fleet number?

Looks like it is in the town.
3970 maybe

It is not Newcastle?

Wonder what happened after, it looked like it hit the middle doors.

Fascinating look at Newcastle in the 70s.

A breakers yard in Barnsley, probably in the early 90s.
There is an excellent example of how not to weld and some local vehicles too.
No idea what the film is, but has some famous faces and shows a bit of 1950's Newcastle.

Found this vid while browsing through one of the threads on Skyscraper City.

A fascinating journey back in time. Some of it is very familiar but there have been a lot of changes just within the last 50 years or so. A variety of buses are present in the video including Route-masters and what appear to be Atlanteans.

The Chronicle have some canny photos in tonight, including a decker crashing on Lobley Hill roundabout.

Shot in and around the town, at the Haymarket.
Amazing to see very old stuff, still kicking around so long after de-reg.
Almost forget about the variety too.

The ExpressLink Metrobus on an X1, coming in off the Central Motorway surprised me.

Here is one from a similar period at Gateshead Interchange.
