A new master plan is to be revealed in a bid to boost numbers at Durham Tees Valley

legend

It'll never work, I fear that MME is doomed to fail. It only sees its KLM and EZE flights now as well as flying school traffic and the Cobhams at the moment because of a lack of demand, and I don't feel that, with Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester as its competitors, it can bring airlines and routes back.

I wonder if there is some sort of partnership available with Teesport or SSI available?
Granted there won't be an aircraft in the world available to compete with some of the container ships out there, but if that part of the Tees Valley is picking up, there must be some opportunities at the airport too.
Is MME still nothing more than a big Cowshed???
I am off tomorrow for my second Durham Aerosports trial flights
I am hoping to make the Skylive airshow tomorrow (http://www.skyliveevents.co.uk/) but I am quite annoyed because I have laringitis and no voice so I might not make it...

It was a badly organised waste of time (however I was ill)
Following on from Loganair news recently, NAAS have announced they're moving along the road to a new base.

Airport brought back in to public ownership by Tory mayor.

£35m apparently.
£5m to buy land and stop housing being developed in the immediate vicinity.

Hopefully they can now turn the fortunes of the airport around. Flew from DTV (or teeside) a few times and its so much less of a hike from car park to landside and through to airside than Newcastle in my opinion.
