RE: Arriva bus changes! - Adrian - 09 Jul 2014 (09 Jul 2014, 11:11 am)Jimmi More registrations on VOSA today. Possibly, and I think the X1 was going to become hourly on Sundays? Unless that's already happened. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 09 Jul 2014 (09 Jul 2014, 10:05 pm)aureolin Possibly, and I think the X1 was going to become hourly on Sundays? Unless that's already happened. Became hourly on Sundays a few weeks back. RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 14 Jul 2014 Sure is the X1/X2 will run to a standard timetable all year round from end of August, related to the loss of Nexus school work. There was to be changes from next week but these were postponed til August to save having two changes in a month! EDIT: New college run registered this morning for Redcar & Cleveland College... PB0002717/378 - ARRIVA DURHAM COUNTY LTD, 1 ADMIRAL WAY, DOXFORD INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK, SUNDERLAND, SR3 3XP Registration Accepted Starting Point: Easington Finish Point: Redcar College Via: Service Number: RC4 Service Type: Limited Stop Effective Date: 08-SEP-2014 Other Details: Monday to Friday, schooldays only. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Jimmi - 14 Jul 2014 New services and better links to the RVI and Freeman hospital from Sunday 20th July. http://lm.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.arrivabus.co.uk%2Fcontent.aspx%3Fid%3D34359743169&h=jAQGWepBc&s=1 RE: Arriva bus changes! - Roland Pratt - 14 Jul 2014 (14 Jul 2014, 10:52 am)tyresmoke Sure is the X1/X2 will run to a standard timetable all year round from end of August, related to the loss of Nexus school work. There was to be changes from next week but these were postponed til August to save having two changes in a month! Is that Easington Loftus? Who used to do that then? Wonder how that will work. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Roland Pratt - 14 Jul 2014 What were the other X1 changes? RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 14 Jul 2014 (14 Jul 2014, 6:06 pm)Roland Pratt Is that Easington Loftus? Who used to do that then? Wonder how that will work. Jack's do the 2A (Easington/Loftus) and 2B (Brotton, Skelton, Saltburn and Marske) at the moment, I assume this is an amalgamation of those 2 routes into one. I have a feeling they will give it to us to run at Stockton but will find out next week (if not before). It would fit nicely as a wrap-around for the 6 which starts at 0930 and finishes at 1600... No need for an extra bus then RE: Arriva bus changes! - Roland Pratt - 14 Jul 2014 Wasn't the 6 bus planned to do anything else before or after the 6s then? RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 14 Jul 2014 (14 Jul 2014, 6:16 pm)Roland Pratt Wasn't the 6 bus planned to do anything else before or after the 6s then? There were plans but things change, which you'll see in September I guess as thats when the next changes to the X1 (and other County Durham routes) will be. Redcar would need an additional bus to work the RC4 unless they were to drop some journeys (not popular given we're increasing stuff at present!) so it would make sense to wrap it around the 6. It would also provide some revenue to back the service up too I guess, given the recent addition of external funding streams what with the NHS funding in Newcastle as another example. Regarding the Newcastle NHS service, does anyone know why the Darlington/Durham NHS hospital services H1 & H2 were not extended or renewed? Was it because they were losing money or not enough usage? RE: Arriva bus changes! - tyresmoke - 14 Jul 2014 (14 Jul 2014, 6:40 pm)JoshP Regarding the Newcastle NHS service, does anyone know why the Darlington/Durham NHS hospital services H1 & H2 were not extended or renewed? Was it because they were losing money or not enough usage? I don't know the answer to that one sadly, I would assume that the NHS trust just didn't want to pay for it any longer hence the contract didn't get renewed. I am guessing the usage figures etc would be taken into account when making their decision so that's probably a partial answer. RE: Arriva bus changes! - Stuart Phin - 15 Jul 2014 The H1/2 was very rarely used since all of the work it used to take can now be done by cpmputers, there was still a few parcels to go but due to very low useage it got wothdrawb, arriva saw how much money it was loosing so it pulled the plug before it was too late RE: Arriva bus changes! - Tom - 17 Jul 2014 PB0002717/16 - ARRIVA DURHAM COUNTY LTD, 1 ADMIRAL WAY, DOXFORD INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK, SUNDERLAND, SR3 3XP Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between Durham and New Brancepeth given service number 48 effective from 20-Jul-2014.
