RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - deanmachine - 16 Feb 2024 (15 Feb 2024, 5:50 pm)stagecoachbusdepot Totally agree with this, just don't think a route to the airport (which is not frequent or particularly busy even during the day) is the best way to try. Especially in isolation. Yeah exactly, I feel it needs to be a network for it to work properly, even if it's just a small one with 3 or 4 services. I'm curious to see if anyone uses the 56 to connect with this new 787 service, although I can't imagine many will be brave enough. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Coastliner700 - 17 Feb 2024 (15 Feb 2024, 8:51 am)Storx Totally agreed, not to mention the 39/40 and 62/63 run every 15 minutes until 11pm or so then just stop dead. I don't believe for a second that there's a hidden time where people just suddenly think oh, 11pm - I will now not use the bus. The 62/63 and 39/40 probably excellent idea. Unlike other routes in the area they run almost the entire day anyway. It starts at 0500 which isn’t so usual these days and last journeys finished after midnight so it’s only few extra trips through the night to make 20 hours a day RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Aaron21 - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 8:46 am)Coastliner700 The 62/63 and 39/40 probably excellent idea. It starts at 0500 which isn’t so usual these days and last journeys finished after midnight so it’s only few extra trips through the night to make 20 hours a day I've used the early 62 that terminate at Central. My god can it get busy RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Michael - 17 Feb 2024 Effective date: 31 Mar 2024 PB0001987/2 Variation CLEVELAND TRANSIT LTD 363738 (38, 36, 37, 36A) Middlesbrough Bus Station Hartlepool/North Tees/ Norton Glebe RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - V514DFT - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 10:42 am)Michael Effective date: 31 Mar 2024 Im guessing the 36A is the service thats been talked about RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Economic505 - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 11:05 am)V514DFT Im guessing the 36A is the service thats been talked about What’s the 36A again? I missed earlier chats. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Storx - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 8:46 am)Coastliner700 The 62/63 and 39/40 probably excellent idea. If they can't get them to work, then nothing is going to work, including buses to an airport. Like you could arguably make the argument for sending the 62/63 via the 1 route between Newcastle and Chillingham Road to serve the student areas to better serve there as let's be honest there's probably not going to be many people wanting to go to Byker from Heaton and Killingworth at 3am or whatever and the 39/40 would do the core Newcastle <> Byker links anyway. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Lottie332 - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 11:29 am)Economic505 What’s the 36A again? I missed earlier chats. a route that opperated in the teesside ALX400 times between Hartlepool and Middlesbrough hopefully this one runes down wilderness road as one route every 10-15 mins is a bit daft specially when it runs late aswell RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - RobinHood - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 7:46 pm)Lottie332 a route that opperated in the teesside ALX400 times between Hartlepool and Middlesbrough hopefully this one runes down wilderness road as one route every 10-15 mins is a bit daft specially when it runs late aswell Stagecoach won a contract to service Riverside Park in Middlesbrough, that has been due to start for a while. Are you sure this isn't linked to that? https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/6ce13755-2672-43b0-9bf8-0b0a02137bd0?origin=SearchResults&p=1 They also won a contract to service Wynyard and link it to Hartlepool and Billingham etc, again, could be linked to that? https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/33ecd896-845a-41ec-96e8-05c9c22cb1dd?origin=SearchResults&p=1 RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Lottie332 - 17 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 8:17 pm)RobinHood Stagecoach won a contract to service Riverside Park in Middlesbrough, that has been due to start for a while. Are you sure this isn't linked to that?the X40/41 will be or should be interworked with the 6/6A and the RP1 is boro college route RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - col87 - 18 Feb 2024 (17 Feb 2024, 7:46 pm)Lottie332 a route that opperated in the teesside ALX400 times between Hartlepool and Middlesbrough hopefully this one runes down wilderness road as one route every 10-15 mins is a bit daft specially when it runs late aswellAm hoping it would be a service that links Hartlepool to North Tees Hospital. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - RobinHood - 18 Feb 2024 It could be a variation of the 36 that goes via Teesdale at college times or something, as I know Stagecoach have an agreement with Stockton Riverside College already. Would explain recent 'route learning' that has been seen. Would have gone for Amazon myself. The tender spec required some journeys to Hartlepool so I wonder if there’s some 36s diverted (or starting…) in there? RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - BusEnthusiast.com - 18 Feb 2024 (15 Feb 2024, 4:07 pm)Aaron21 35 will be rerouted via Osborne Road in March nexus have confirmed I don't think that is the best idea but it is good to see that it will operate on evenings and Sundays.I'm not really a big fan of the idea as it will reduce the route massively. Details have been posted on Bus Times’ licence page this morning Monday to Sunday services. New Early morning and late journeys diverted via Wynyard Park and numbered 36A RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - DaveFromUpNorth - 19 Feb 2024 (16 Sep 2023, 7:38 pm)j986986 Any frequency changes expected? (17 Feb 2024, 12:44 pm)Storx Yeah agreed, and they're arguably the busiest bus routes in the North East. If they can't get them to work, then nothing is going to work, including buses to an airport. The 2am at finish at Greggs or country-style foods? RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Storx - 19 Feb 2024 (19 Feb 2024, 8:02 pm)DaveFromUpNorth The 2am at finish at Greggs or country-style foods? Aye possibly, but I'd argue having Heaton served properly would be better. Suppose you could go to the end of Heaton Road, then onto Sheilds Road then Heaton Park Road if the demand was there. At that time of night, it won't take long tbh. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Arty2005 - 19 Feb 2024 Does any one know what is happening to the 54's had stagecoach still got them on a Sunday and evening or have them been lost. I was told they had lost then unless were still not in the process of the nexus tenders being awarded |
