RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Dans_bus_photos - 03 Sep 2016 How does transfers between divisions within the Stagecoach group happen? Did Stagecoach North East request these kinetic's or were they told of management that they were getting them to replace certain buses? RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - glen - 03 Sep 2016 If buses 22508'15 are in bad condition can't stagecoach north east sand buses the buses stagecoach Yorkshire get money back or can't there do that. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - tyresmoke - 03 Sep 2016 To be fair I think nobody at Stagecoach Yorkshire could believe anyone wanted to take them off their hands... RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - S813 FVK - 03 Sep 2016 The fact that the North East is the Kinetic's 3rd home says something really. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Ambassador - 04 Sep 2016 It's really odd that the 100 doesn't get new investment as opposed to cast offs really RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Brian13 - 05 Sep 2016 (04 Sep 2016, 6:56 pm)Ambassador It's really odd that the 100 doesn't get new investment as opposed to cast offs really Surprised there isn't deckers on there RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - markydh - 05 Sep 2016 It's not that odd. There are no comparable single deckers on the market in terms of capacity and they can't upgrade to double deckers due to one of the routes having a low bridge. Obviously, the E300s can't keep going forever (maybe 2 years left in them). It will be interesting to see what the powers that be decide to do. It wouldn't be a total loss to stop using the route with the low bridge. Plenty of alternatives around RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - S813 FVK - 05 Sep 2016 (05 Sep 2016, 5:17 pm)Ambassador It wouldn't be a total loss to stop using the route with the low bridge. Plenty of alternatives around Exactly - if they just used Handy Drive etc both ways, deckers would be fine. Most drivers go to Newcastle via Dunston, out onto the A1 and off at the next sliproad onto the bypass thing that follows through onto the Redheugh Bridge yet come back to the Metrocentre via Teams & Handy Drive. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - stagecoachbusdepot - 05 Sep 2016 (05 Sep 2016, 5:27 pm)S813 FVK Exactly - if they just used Handy Drive etc both ways, deckers would be fine. Most drivers go to Newcastle via Dunston, out onto the A1 and off at the next sliproad onto the bypass thing that follows through onto the Redheugh Bridge yet come back to the Metrocentre via Teams & Handy Drive. I think it's about the drivers having the option to take the other route, to avoid traffic etc. What has always been a little hard to believe is that a 46 seat 12.6m E300 would be unacceptable despite the 05-plates only having two more seats. And if capacity is really the reason for lack of investment, why is/was a 43 seat Kinetic being considered? Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Jimmi - 06 Sep 2016 PB0002404/121 - BUSWAYS TRAVEL SERVICES LTD T/A STAGECOACH NORTHEAST, ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, NORTH BRIDGE STREET, SUNDERLAND, SR5 1AQ Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between Docks or City and Farringdon given service number 5 effective from 16-Oct-2016. To amend Timetable. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Dans_bus_photos - 06 Sep 2016 (05 Sep 2016, 9:22 pm)stagecoachbusdepot I think it's about the drivers having the option to take the other route, to avoid traffic etc. Isnt the Kinetic only being put on there as a trial though, as its a relatively easy route to see how the bus copes before deciding whether to refurbish the others and put them into service? RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - glen - 06 Sep 2016 I think be OK at Stockton route like 14'34'39 and 13. It's not just about the seat numbers... Hopefully a extra morning journey a 1 hour gap from 7:30 to 8:40 I think RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - stagecoachbusdepot - 06 Sep 2016 (06 Sep 2016, 5:53 pm)markydh Don't forget that the E300s also have more standing capacity owing to their extra length. It's not just about the seat numbers... I believe the old Enviro300s are 12.5m, so similar (slightly shorter) than the longest Enviro300 currently available RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Michael - 20 Sep 2016 PB0002404/308 - BUSWAYS TRAVEL SERVICES LTD T/A STAGECOACH NORTHEAST, ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, NORTH BRIDGE STREET, SUNDERLAND, SR5 1AQ Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between City Centre and Seaburn given service number 101 effective from 24-Sep-2016.
