RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Train8261 - 21 Sep 2021 Wonder how Christmas is gonna be this year. Could we see the Christmas Market return RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - ThomasBooth123 - 21 Sep 2021 I see my local route is being changed oh god RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - mb134 - 21 Sep 2021 (21 Sep 2021, 6:41 pm)Train8261 Wonder how Christmas is gonna be this year. Heard strong rumours that a bearded bloke from the North Pole is being roped in to work the NP1 service given current driver shortages. Disagreements over uniform potentially causing issues with the deal, however. First time I’d noticed was on Sunday. Seems like a sensible idea linking up Freeman Hospital & Four Lanes End. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Train8261 - 05 Oct 2021 (05 Oct 2021, 12:10 pm)ne14ne1 How long has the 38 been extending to Four Lanes End?Only goes there on Saturday and Sunday morning Ne14ne1 - ne14ne1 - 05 Oct 2021 (05 Oct 2021, 12:43 pm)Train8261 Only goes there on Saturday and Sunday morning Oh, that’s a shame. Thanks for the info. RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes - Train8261 - 05 Oct 2021 Always thought of it going to Four Lane Ends full time but then again. It would put Arriva 52 out between Newcastle and Four Lane Ends Would the PVR need to be increased if it did go to Four Lanes End full time Ne14ne1 - ne14ne1 - 05 Oct 2021 (05 Oct 2021, 1:23 pm)Train8261 Always thought of it going to Four Lane Ends full time but then again. It would put Arriva 52 out between Newcastle and Four Lane Ends I’d imagine it would suffer from congestion in the morning and evening peaks on week days so would require increased PVR. Too many cars on the roads down towards Hadricks Mill roundabouts and then along past HMRC to FLE. RE: Ne14ne1 - Train8261 - 05 Oct 2021 (05 Oct 2021, 1:38 pm)ne14ne1 I’d imagine it would suffer from congestion in the morning and evening peaks on week days so would require increased PVR. Too many cars on the roads down towards Hadricks Mill roundabouts and then along past HMRC to FLE.That's true. Probably the reason it only goes during a Saturday and Sunday morning. Didn't the 38 go to Four Lane Ends full time during the pandemic RE: Ne14ne1 - Storx - 05 Oct 2021 (05 Oct 2021, 1:38 pm)ne14ne1 I’d imagine it would suffer from congestion in the morning and evening peaks on week days so would require increased PVR. Too many cars on the roads down towards Hadricks Mill roundabouts and then along past HMRC to FLE. The 6 and 7 don't run until after 9am on Saturday and Sunday morning so to keep the Freeman to FLE link the 38 runs instead. Guessing there's no demand for those services in the morning. There's no need for the 38 since the 6 and 7 already do it every 20 minutes during the week. Ne14ne1 - ne14ne1 - 05 Oct 2021 (05 Oct 2021, 2:27 pm)Storx The 6 and 7 don't run until after 9am on Saturday and Sunday morning so to keep the Freeman to FLE link the 38 runs instead. Guessing there's no demand for those services in the morning. Fair enough, I’d forgot about the 6 & 7. |
