Heard strong rumours that a bearded bloke from the North Pole is being roped in to work the NP1 service given current driver shortages. Disagreements over uniform potentially causing issues with the deal, however.

How long has the 38 been extending to Four Lanes End?
First time I’d noticed was on Sunday.
Seems like a sensible idea linking up Freeman Hospital & Four Lanes End.

Always thought of it going to Four Lane Ends full time but then again. It would put Arriva 52 out between Newcastle and Four Lane Ends
Would the PVR need to be increased if it did go to Four Lanes End full time

I’d imagine it would suffer from congestion in the morning and evening peaks on week days so would require increased PVR. Too many cars on the roads down towards Hadricks Mill roundabouts and then along past HMRC to FLE.

Didn't the 38 go to Four Lane Ends full time during the pandemic

The 6 and 7 don't run until after 9am on Saturday and Sunday morning so to keep the Freeman to FLE link the 38 runs instead. Guessing there's no demand for those services in the morning.
There's no need for the 38 since the 6 and 7 already do it every 20 minutes during the week.
