Thread drift - sorry . . .

How long do the bus CCTV images get kept?

http://www.hexhamcourant.co.uk/news/hunt-under-way-for-missing-corbridge-pensioner-1.1126344

There is a bus stop right outside his residence.

However, the police say that his pass was left in his room.

How many drivers would waive the need to swipe the pass?

Would drivers remember an elderly passenger boarding without a pass?

Mods please move this if there is a better location.

(30 Mar 2014, 10:44 am)Marcus Is that the seat that seems to be missing at the front upstairs on both, you see whenever I get the X43 to Stanley from the Metro I always take advantage of it being relatively empty so I sit at the front, but on both it feels like there should be a seat in front. I don't recall 3825, 3821 or 3822 having them when they were at Chester, is it for suitcases and luggage when they were on DFDS duties?

The missing seat is the single side seat behind the luggage rack on the nearside.

Something which I don't think has been noted yet, is 524's arrival at Riverside for storage. I believe it arrived last Sunday.
Photograph here.

(30 Mar 2014, 3:22 pm)gtom One hopes the Angel will change at some point. Quite a few of the Angels (almost all) are a stop behind with the announcements. I sent an email off to GNE with the ones I'd travelled on and got a thank you response.

The x1 announcements do my head in.
Tom mentioned he used it the other week, thinking the 'next stop.... Herrington Burrrrrrrn' was great (it was a positive response anyway).

'Next stop is Wrekenton. Alight here for the shops' and the general patter, discussion etc between Gary and Lisa, is annoying.

However, on the 4, the two just simply announce the stops.
Gary is on some buses, Lisa on others and on one or two of them, Lisa suddenly announces a stop, despite every other one (both prior and beyond) being announced by Gary!

It's Steve and Karen on the Angel who I'm told are somesort of local radio superstars

RE: Go North East - Latest - MrFozz - 31 Mar 2014

I will do next stop announcements for them...I have a lovely voice Tongue

RE: Go North East - Latest - Davey Bowyer - 31 Mar 2014

On the CC, Steve does all the 310 stops (I believe) and most of the 309 stops with the exception between Business Exchange and the Village. They're done by Karen.

RE: Go North East - Latest - Andreos1 - 31 Mar 2014

Wonder why they don't have the Flashing Blade doing it?

'Next stop, Low Fell - The Cannon. If you wish to contact us, find us on Facebook or twitter or get to those phones'.

Shame you cant dial the operator and get transferred any more, he could have used his 'dial 100 and ask for freephone Go North East' patter, he did in his Budget Windows days or whichever double glazing tat he was trying to sell.

RE: Go North East - Latest - Dan - 31 Mar 2014

I'm led to believe that 4848 has now been withdrawn from Stanley.
