RE: Go North East - Latest - busman101 - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:21 pm)Tom I'd imagine it could boost passenger numbers though! X22 is doing very nicely at the minute, but not convinced about Retail World as its just not a bus friendly place - it's Tyne & Wear's equivalent of Teesside Park ! RE: Go North East - Latest - MurdnunoC - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:11 pm)aureolin I agree. Like the Q1, it's a repetitive task. How many loops do they do before a break? Got to be about 12/15? I'd find it as tedious as it gets... If I had a preference, I'd probably want to do something like the X1/56/21/20. If I had to choose it would probably be the X9/X10 or one of the Hexham runs such as the 74 or 688. RE: Go North East - Latest - MurdnunoC - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:33 pm)busman101 X22 is doing very nicely at the minute, but not convinced about Retail World as its just not a bus friendly place - it's Tyne & Wear's equivalent of Teesside Park ! I'm not really familiar with Teesside Park (only ever been there once) but I agree that Team Valley is not really convenient for buses given where the bus-stops are located and the potential for queuing traffic both on Tenth Avenue and Kingsway. It can be a nightmare just getting into Metrocentre on a Saturday - imagine if the X22 had to contend with a busy Team Valley too. How is the 14 doing? RE: Go North East - Latest - Jimmi - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:40 pm)AdamY I'm not really familiar with Teesside Park (only ever been there once) but I agree that Team Valley is not really convenient for buses given where the bus-stops are located and the potential for queuing traffic both on Tenth Avenue and Kingsway. I imagine if you made the X22 take a longer route it would put people off using it and people may turn to the Arriva X24 to get to the Metrocentre. RE: Go North East - Latest - busman101 - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:44 pm)Tom How is the 14 doing? Not looked for a while, but might just on Monday ! RE: Go North East - Latest - busman101 - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:46 pm)Jimmi I imagine if you made the X22 take a longer route it would put people off using it and people may turn to the Arriva X24 to get to the Metrocentre. Can't be having that ! RE: Go North East - Latest - Tom - 08 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 9:48 pm)busman101 Not looked for a while, but might just on Monday ! Great! Cheers. Mind wouldn't expect anything from the 13. RE: Go North East - Latest - L469 YVK - 08 Aug 2014 Are the units at Percy Main like this at the moment? - Unit 1 = Cobalt Clipper, Cobalt Connect - Unit 2 = Coaster, 17 and NTL RE: Go North East - Latest - Andreos1 - 09 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 8:16 pm)Tom Is there any point in running the 1 to Wrekenton, instead of just having the 24? I used it a few weeks back from Wrekenton and it was full by the time it got to the Aletaster. Mr Chipchase even got on! RE: Go North East - Latest - GuyParkRoyal - 09 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 7:27 pm)aureolin I couldn't see the SSID being broadcast for the WiFi on 6064 this morning (approx 7am). Apologies for not posting sooner, but had no data connection all day. I have had the same problem with 6064. I use the Angel 21 several times each week and manage to connect to WiFi on the majority of my journeys but for some reason I have never managed to find the SSID on 6064. RE: Go North East - Latest - Tom - 09 Aug 2014 (08 Aug 2014, 11:11 pm)DaveyBowyer Are the units at Percy Main like this at the moment? Think it was the Coaster and NTL (Unit 1), and Cobalts, 9 and 17 (Unit 2) RE: Go North East - Latest - Mickgruff - 09 Aug 2014 On x7 Sunderland to Middlesbrough. Had to change buses in Sunderland Interchange as original leaking water. Running 30 mins late. All good now. RE: Go North East - Latest - MurdnunoC - 09 Aug 2014 (09 Aug 2014, 6:17 am)Andreos Constantopolous I used it a few weeks back from Wrekenton and it was full by the time it got to the Aletaster. Now there's a name I haven't heard for a while. I presume the bus was on time. If it was over 10 seconds late there would have been hell on. RE: Go North East - Latest - Tom - 09 Aug 2014 4911 on 54 today. Re: RE: Go North East - Latest - Dan - 09 Aug 2014 (09 Aug 2014, 1:09 pm)Tom 4911 on 54 today.4911? As in the one based at Percy Main..? RE: Go North East - Latest - Tom - 09 Aug 2014 (09 Aug 2014, 1:15 pm)Dan 4911? As in the one based at Percy Main..? I think so, yes. RE: Go North East - Latest - Diamond One - 09 Aug 2014 6099 is on X36 about to get a shot 4970 is another repaint now in Gold and looks smart RE: Go North East - Latest - Andreos1 - 09 Aug 2014 (09 Aug 2014, 11:33 am)AdamY Now there's a name I haven't heard for a while. Recognised him immediately. No trickery of the light or instagram type filters used in his profile pic. It will have been out by a few mins due to the loads that got off/on between Wrekenton and Allerdene (where Mr Chipchase boarded). I have a feeling he may be banned from the page going by the 'stop spamming the wall please Trent' comment, from the GNE bod one day - hence the lack of complaints in recent months. Ah I miss the golden days on the GNE fb page. It just isn't the same these days. RE: Go North East - Latest - Tom - 09 Aug 2014 Forgot to mention, the 14:40 departure to Wrekenton on the Coaster was full with standing room only! |
