(10 Dec 2015, 11:15 pm)Dan Didn't you hear that we are extending our horizons into sleeper services? It's like Megabus Gold.

Upstairs if you fancy a kip, downstairs if you don't! Big Grin

Slight issue with that being the Omnideckkas get swapped for smaller buses on a night. The best place for a sleep on Omnideckkas is probably the backseat, amusingly lying down is pretty much the only way you can occupy the back seat downstairs

A mere technicality!

It's not like they'll have any competition!

It's a reflection of the sporty nature of the buses - not dissimilar to the back seat in an Audi TT Tongue

(10 Dec 2015, 11:03 pm)Jimmi Something I've noticed about some of the Omnideckkas is the upstairs interior lights don't seem to work, saw one on the 6 tonight and the upstairs was pitch black!

Its down to the driver not putting the switches in the correct position. Up is up & down lights on, middle is off & down is just downstairs on.

What do 3885-3889 (NK51 UC#) do nowerdays? I've seen them on the odd school duty, but mainly parked in stanley/consett. Haven't seen one in an actual service since before the october 25 changes, on the X30.

They're just treated as spares I gather. The B7TL Presidents at Stanley are specifically for the 15/15A, and OmniDekkas cover the 6, X70 and X71 which means the Trident Presidents/Lolynes and Olympians are just designated to scholars or are treated as spare buses, with Olympians being the last resorts.

(09 Dec 2015, 7:45 pm)pdiddy 6021 was one of the better ones... it suffered an engine problem earlier in the week, which I presume isn't financialy viable to repair, hense why its  been withdrawn. It will be replaced with a red decker from Chester. How's that for a reaction hahaha

Currently we have 3875 as it's replacement , however i don't think it will have a set replacement . Probs just any spare decker from Chester.  Trident or B7 Tongue

Well, I didn't catch what we were on, this morning, but it stunkand had a bluebottle buzzing around it. The experience wasn't enhanced by some faffing at CLS.

Snow is starting to cause problems on the GNE network:

Unable to serve Castleside, Delves Lane, Bridgehill, South Stanley and Acton Dene at present due to severe snow.

Question... should this go in the weather thread or the GNE thread? - as its to with both weather and GNE...............

Incidents on teesside is tweeting a PIC of a stuck looking mk I citaro on the 16a.

Big'un made a good call to avoid Stanley, this afternoon. Husband has called off going on his work night out, too. Says there's 2" of the stuff at home.

Our changed plans have involved getting cold and wet in south shields. Nothing settled there but a few cars turned around so the roads must be slick.

Must be bad in Durham Undecided

I bet your glad you avoided Stanley then, i wouldn't want to be stuck in that area.

Nope. No eas way out again.

I'd have had no idea it was so bad if husband hadn't told me what it was like at home. Not over Stanley way, but still 500' above sea level.
