RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2016 - Malarkey - 30 Jul 2016

(30 Jul 2016, 10:18 pm)Michael Loop has had 3 brand upgrades since it launched

Red Arrows has only had 1 i think, (unless you count the one which transfered from Citaro to B7's, think that makes it two)

Red Arrows started off with Plaxton Premieres on the old X2 in 2006, then came the Citaros in 2007 (iirc the order for them was delayed), was is why we had the pink Omnicities for a while, then came the B9's 2011 and 2012, to be honest the branding remained the same on every vehicle type which been branded Red Arrows up until now, so you could argue the branding has not changed once in the 10 Years it has been around.

Evolution of the Red Arrows.

Will EYMS's Volvo B5TL Evoseti be out tomorrow? I'm in the area so will come in handy if it is.

(30 Jul 2016, 10:13 pm)Michael Yes but they were repainted in November 2014 in to Silver again and then left Silver until this month when they've gone Blue...

It seems pointless they repainted them Silver again...

NOVEMBER 14

Ahead of service changes early next year, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain silver base livery.

If I recall correctly they were repainted by Mercedes under Warrranty, not by GNE so no paint "wasted"

According to the info on the fleetlist for 5320-5324, it was August 2012 when they recieved their warranty repaint.

AUGUST 12

This vehicle has been repainted into a plain silver base livery under warranty, later gaining "Silver Arrows" branding.

I remember the coaches.... i remember hearing loads of complains about them being to high for OAP's and people with disabilities, luckily they replaced them with the Citaro's.

I'm glad it hasn't changed once though, well, the arrow has got bigger haha

Typical NEXUS hahaha, they're still changing the timetables from last weeks changes....

On the talk of timetables.... still no timetables up for the 33/33A/168 etc on the GNE site... W1/W1A/W3, still show up on the NEXUS tab....

Just seen new nexus templates crop up near corbridge.. a wild shot, but does this mean nexus/tyne and wear passes are accepted there?

No.

I believe Northumberland County Council now sub-contract Nexus to print their bus stop liners. The validity of tickets is not affected by this new arrangement.

Alright, thanks. These timetables are a hell of a lot clearer the northumberland ones!

Q3 has just passed me on The Avenue in Wallsend devoid of passengers. Makes me wonder if anyone actually knows of the changes.

33 timetable isn't up anywhere still. Nobody except me was one that. Timetables should be up before the changes imo, it's absurd to make passengers ask the driver to know the times of the journey.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2016 - MVK 500R - 31 Jul 2016

The stop on The Avenue has no times, and has cars parked over it, and there's no times at the stop on Eastfield Avenue. Nexus have really screwed up.

Yes, I agree.

I hope that Nexus haven't bitten off more than they can chew, though. They weren't exactly well-known for having the bus stop liners updated in time for changes prior to this new arrangement!
