RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - streetdeckfan - 24 May 2021 (24 May 2021, 12:03 pm)JP6004 According to bustimes and GNE site, what appears to be 5392 using spare ticket machine is at brandon... Judging by the tracking it looks like they've tried to do an Austin Powers style 3 point turn! RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - JP6004 - 24 May 2021 (24 May 2021, 12:23 pm)streetdeckfan Judging by the tracking it looks like they've tried to do an Austin Powers style 3 point turn! RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Adrian - 24 May 2021 (24 May 2021, 12:23 pm)streetdeckfan Judging by the tracking it looks like they've tried to do an Austin Powers style 3 point turn! Aye... looks a bit tight around there for a bus! Although something looks a bit odd there. Its been hovering on a spot for around hours now. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - S813 FVK - 24 May 2021 How many of the commercial team are still working from home? Could this just be them using a spare ticket machine for testing purposes rather than an actual bus? RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Andreos1 - 24 May 2021 (24 May 2021, 2:48 pm)Adrian Aye... looks a bit tight around there for a bus! If my calculations are right. It was at the top of the stairs, second door on the right for 20mins earlier on. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Rapidsnap - 24 May 2021 It was in the toilet on six occasions this afternoon. Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - big mac - 31 May 2021 Will there be any revisions to the 21 timetable now that lockdown is easing and traffic levels are getting busier? Particularly the 4 minute layover it currently has at Durham which was a change to the timetable during lockdown. Fine when there's hardly any traffic, but surely not enough when traffic is pretty much back to normal. Particularly the 4 minute layover it currently has at Durham which was a change to the timetable during lockdown. Fine when there's hardly any traffic, but surely not enough when traffic is pretty much back to normal. 4 minutes is nowhere near enough for the 21 especially when there's traffic as from what I've experienced 21s often run in numbers or with a small gap because of traffic and having to constantly stop off on Durham Road. It's probably worth GNE seeing if the Durham X21 shorts would be viable, they'd be great for people who want a direct bus from Durham & CLS to Newcastle. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - big mac - 31 May 2021 (31 May 2021, 5:01 pm)GNE6312 4 minutes is nowhere near enough for the 21 especially when there's traffic as from what I've experienced 21s often run in numbers or with a small gap because of traffic and having to constantly stop off on Durham Road. It's probably worth GNE seeing if the Durham X21 shorts would be viable, they'd be great for people who want a direct bus from Durham & CLS to Newcastle. It also doesn't help with reliability now that the 21 goes in to the Arnison Centre, given the problems with congestion there. Sent from my moto g(8) power lite using Tapatalk RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - L469 YVK - 04 Jun 2021 Got the 21:20 309 back home last night ex Newcastle and the loadings seemed fairly decent considering it was running 8 minutes behind the 308 and the climate we're in. Wonder if punters prefer the xx:20 departure during the evenings meaning less of a mad dash as opposed to xx:12 (308). Only annoyance is for any shift workers in the Cobalt who need to wait nearly 45 minutes after their shift for a bus home. Didn't really see how many rode through Rake Lane towards Whitley Bay though. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Jimmi - 04 Jun 2021 (31 May 2021, 5:45 pm)big mac It also doesn't help with reliability now that the 21 goes in to the Arnison Centre, given the problems with congestion there. It's fine, they pull it out of the Arnison Centre any time someone even thinks of going to the McDonald's there RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - streetdeckfan - 09 Jun 2021 Looks like there's going to be changes to the Q3 route from 12th June https://www.gonortheast.co.uk/quaycity-q3-route-improvements-newcastle-12-june From Saturday 12 June, QuayCity Q3 will operate both ways on City Road in Newcastle. This means journeys towards Great Park will operate from Walker Road via City Road and Quayside, stopping at new stops outside Premier Inn, Opto, and directly outside the Law Courts. This replaces the bus stops at Mariner's Wharf or Pitcher and Piano. Journeys towards Wallsend are unchanged. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Micheal Aaron - 09 Jun 2021 Good to see the Q3 get improved a slight bit. Shame it's the only bus that severe the Newcastle Quayside part RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Andreos1 - 09 Jun 2021 (09 Jun 2021, 10:57 am)streetdeckfan Looks like there's going to be changes to the Q3 route from 12th June Think they need to update their timetables related to the current route, before they start faffing on with new. Bank Hol Mon (Inc those two in May) timetables have it omitting the Quayside/Law Courts completely as though it was a Sunday and the market was on. Even though they follow the normal Mon-Sat route on BH's. https://www.gonortheast.co.uk/services/GNE/Q3?date=2021-08-30&direction=inbound RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - streetdeckfan - 09 Jun 2021 (09 Jun 2021, 11:41 am)Andreos1 Think they need to update their timetables related to the current route, before they start faffing on with new. Judging by the wording "We've worked with our partners at Newcastle City Council and NE1 on this change", my guess is they didn't really have much of a choice RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - GuyParkRoyal - 10 Jun 2021 Registration on VOSA for X84/X85 to go 7 days a week working from 25th July. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Michael - 10 Jun 2021 (10 Jun 2021, 10:50 am)Thomas12 Looks like the Hexham-Newbrough section on the X85 is being replaced by the new 687, allowing the X84/X85 to be fully operated by the newer MMCs? Ah right, that's good, I wonder if this will allow the PVR to drop to 4 on the X84/X85. Looks like GNE won the Hexham contracts again, sure they were up for renewal this year? |
