RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Michael - 02 Mar 2018 (02 Mar 2018, 7:41 pm)Dan I think there's been more important things going on this week, to be fair. Normally they're on at least a month before, but ye the weather has caused mayhem. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Michael - 06 Mar 2018 Most of the timetables for the changes on the 18th March, can be found on the NEXUS site. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - OrangeArrow49 - 06 Mar 2018 Any info on the Nexus secured 32A? GNE contract to run the service expires 17/03/2018. I expect Arriva will get it again if GNE doesn't continue to operate it. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Michael - 06 Mar 2018 (06 Mar 2018, 9:20 pm)OrangeArrow49 Any info on the Nexus secured 32A? GNE contract to run the service expires 17/03/2018. I expect Arriva will get it again if GNE doesn't continue to operate it. Go North East are keeping it on a night and Sunday. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - OrangeArrow49 - 06 Mar 2018 (06 Mar 2018, 9:32 pm)Michael Go North East are keeping it on a night and Sunday. Thanks, Michael. I expect it will still be operated by 49-branded Streetlites with NSAs. As it only runs on a night and Sunday, it doesn't attract many passengers and I have only travelled on it a few times. Why can't Stagecoach run the Nexus-secured night/Sunday 32A with Nexus support? That would be more consistent in terms of fares, tickets, quality of service etc. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Chris 1 - 07 Mar 2018 (06 Mar 2018, 10:52 pm)OrangeArrow49 Thanks, Michael. At a guess, GNE put in a lower tender price. I don't even know if Stagecoach made a bid. The Nexus 32A is always either Arriva or GNE as far as I know. Some of Stagecoach's less profitable routes are part-funded by Nexus, but it's less noticeable when all Stagecoach bus services are the same, Nexus supported or not, compared to another operator getting it, so maybe they were awarded the Nexus 32/32A in the past. I like the GNE 32A, with nice Streetlites and NSAs, but sadly it only runs at times I don't usually go anywhere. No idea why GNE don't have the 32A on their website, like every other Nexus Bus service. They didn't even list the service as running or not during the recent adverse weather. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Michael - 11 Mar 2018 (09 Mar 2018, 7:06 am)Michael Easter weekend service information Just noticed that on the Easter Timetables, the new AD122 timetable can be found: Timetable: https://assets.goaheadbus.com/media/cms_page_media/3498/AD122_leaflet_2018_spread_.pdf Ticket prices: https://assets.goaheadbus.com/media/cms_page_media/3498/AD122_tickets_v2.pdf RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - G-CPTN - 11 Mar 2018 Will ENCTS passes continue to be accepted on AD122? RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Jamie M - 11 Mar 2018 (09 Mar 2018, 9:52 pm)OrangeArrow49 I don't even know if Stagecoach made a bid. They don't have timetables for the night-time only contacts it seems. It's maintained by nexus anyway, takes a quick google. Don't forget that the 49 streetlites are also Euro 6. This was part of the deal for operating the contract. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Andreos1 - 01 Apr 2018 Talking of the X66. Hearing rumours this morning that a re-jig of the Q1/Q2, will see the X66 extended to Wrekenton. Renumbered the 66/66A and branded 'The Gateshead Wanderer', it will operate all stops between Ikea and Gateshead. The 66 will operate the clockwise loop to Heworth. 66A anti-clockwise. The Q1 will still operate, but between Gateshead and Wrekenton, it will operate in sync with the 1 and have slight variations to the 1. Operating along Durham Road it will then go via Belle Vue Bank, Saltwell Road, Chowdene Bank, Durham Road, Harlow Green, the Angel and Long Bank. New links will be opened up to residents of southern Gateshead as a result of these changes. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - Andreos1 - 01 Apr 2018 (01 Apr 2018, 3:38 pm)ifm001 is it after 12 noon now? *checks time* Aye, it is. RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2 - MurdnunoC - 02 Apr 2018 (01 Apr 2018, 8:08 am)Andreos1 Talking of the X66. Hearing rumours this morning that a re-jig of the Q1/Q2, will see the X66 extended to Wrekenton. Rather ironically, this route more or less existed back in 1986/87. After de-reg, the 51/52 were merged into the new 67/68 which also absorbed the 'Dunston Circular' section of the 58/59 (in the later years, the 64/65), and extended to Metrocentre. After a few years, the 67/68 was split back into the 51/52 and the 64/65. |
