We need them on the X21, I'm always hearing people upstairs bragging to their friends that they still get on with a £1 ticket.

On another note, I've always wondered what happens to the people who put their ticket straight in the bin when an inspector gets on, do they have to pay for another ticket, or do they just ask the driver if the passenger paid?

Well, that's unfortunate. Looks like I'm not visiting family anymore!

I do hope they replace it with a proper service, as I can see many people choosing the GNE service over the Arriva service, especially if they put half decent buses on it, but I can't see that happening

But those happened to be the times when I used them! And it meant I didn't have to buy Arriva tickets

I thought it might of just been down to the fact that the 46 is becoming the X46,but then i realised that those changes start this Sunday

The Crook X46 is being withdrawn - as one of the Crook driving staff has previously mentioned in a Facebook group that Crook Outstation is to close in the autumn, with the X21 moving to Chester.

Yes they proper leather with foam topper. I'd imagine 2hrs from end to end might be a bit uncomfortable. You'll just have to make sure you only ride the 69 plate ones

Are these changes to include school services?

Hopefully with them moving the X21 to Chester and the removal of the X46, we'll get the X21 coming to Tindale (which is still spelled wrong!) later into the evening. Having the last direct bus leave Newcastle at 15:38 is a right pain in the arse.

(17 Jul 2019, 10:02 pm)Jimmi I can't see much changing, maybe a few extra trips between Bishop and Durham (or Chester at a stretch) in early mornings & early evenings (unless they'll just run dead).

Can maybe see some slight changes being made to the evening service as providing GNE keep the 86 I would imagine it will have to be tagged on to the end of the X21/21 workings.
