(06 Nov 2016, 2:46 pm)Dan The fleet lists have been updated too - some people would have you believe that our fleet lists aren't very good and can't be relied upon for information... I beg to differ - they're update to the hour!

6009 is still shown as being at Washington: http://northeastbuses.co.uk/fleet/item.php?operatorF=2&fleetnoF=6009

You're not helping me prove a point here!

I blame the merger to the new news system for that one slipping through the net - it's now been sorted! Wink

(06 Nov 2016, 2:15 pm)Dan As I know someone was after photos of Volvo B7s before... The running boards for the five Volvo B7TLs at Deptford, from tomorrow, are as follows. There is one spare Volvo B7 to cover the PVR:

Running Board 1:
07:45 #458 (Monkwearmouth - St Roberts)
15:25 #458 (St Roberts - Monkwearmouth)
16:25 #39A (Doxford International - Pennywell)
17:21 #39 (Pennywell - Doxford International)

Running Board 2:
07:45 #454 (Easington Lane - St Roberts)
15:25 #454 (St Roberts - Easington Lane)
17:10 #8 (Enterprise Park - Sunderland)
17:39 #X35 (Doxford International - Sunderland)

Running Board 3:
07:30 #457 (Cleadon - St Roberts)
15:05 #422 (Broadway Junior School - Hastings Hill)
15:40 #525 (Whitburn Comp - South Shields)
16:30 #960 (Waterview Park - South Shields)

Running Board 4:
07:24 #265 (Seaham - Framwellgate Moor)
15:45 #265 (Durham - Seaham)
17:04 #X35 (Doxford International - Sunderland)

Does the morning run still run onto the Prince Bishops? If so is it allocated a Streetlite?

Because of the nexus contact is only between Jarrow and North Shields and during the day it gets every 30 minutes between these parts and core part of the route gets the highest frequency.

I think each board on the 9 runs like this

#1 Sunderland-Jarrow
#2 Jarrow-Sunderland
#3 Sunderland-North Shields
#4 North Shields-Jarrow
#5 Jarrow-North Shields
#6 North Shields-Sunderland

First proper ride on 6140 doing the honours on the 21.

Firstly, good ride, nice power and some added variety.

However, the trim on the seats is absolutely shocking, something I'd expect from GCT or a school bus company. Seats are dirty and completely worn, many are torn to bits, especially on corners. Really disappointing they've been allowed to enter service like this, especially on a high profile route

Does Chester'a 885 run onto anything? Just saw Lolyne 3872 on that service

On a morning, no.

Providing the bus stays on the same running board this afternoon, it will be allocated to scholars service 856 and 878, which does the 16:20 #X21 (Newcastle - Durham) journey.

I do like the Omnidekkas, and have been pleasantly surprised with how they've performed (so far) up here.

I do agree with you on the interior. Having used a handful of them down Brighton this year and last, I was surprised that they've made it into service up here, without being re-trimmed first. I can understand not willfully wasting money to have the GNE moquette if not required, but there should be no question about it being required in this instance.

Just because they're second hand buses should not mean they must look like second hand buses. When the Vykings came up, the interior refurb made the world of difference.

I believe the Scania OmniDekkas will be returning to Saltmeadows Road for a re-trim.

The reason why it wasn't done over the summer months related to the high amount of vehicles required for extra work taken on (and hence the requirement to get these buses on the road as soon as possible!)

No question about it being required, but the work had to be undertaken during a quieter period.

Can anyone tell me which boards the Red Kite deckers normally operate?  Thanks in anticipation.

Not on the aforementioned running board. Operated scholars service 888 this evening, which does the 1650 X21 after a short 93.

I'm hoping you'll be able to work out the bits in the middle!

The buses are subject to be swapped over and replaced with other buses during the day if there are delays to service - but those are the boards they should be allocated to from start of play. Without looking back, I'd assume some of the afternoon departures get the buses in Consett before the scholars peak, just in case anything goes horribly wrong. They'd be able to remove one of those Volvo B9TLs from service and replace it with a single-deck or minibus.

However; as Robert can vouch for, the appearance of Volvo B9TLs on St. Bede's scholars services are few and far between.

(07 Nov 2016, 4:00 pm)streetlite5402 571 seems to have moved to Deptford for further service.

Not for further service: it will be used for route learning purposes at Peterlee, for the service changes taking place next month.

572 remains at Chester-le-Street, withdrawn, for now.

I certainly can!

As for the bits in the middle, do the Red Kites still have that extended layover in Consett that caused 5409 to be added to the PVR? If so would, for example, the 12:00 #45 from Newcastle getting to Consett at 13:02 go back out on the 13:27 45 to Newcastle or would it go onto the 13:17 46?

The bits in the middle for the above running board are:

12:00 #45 (Newcastle - Consett)
13:17 #46 (Consett - Newcastle)
14:30 #45 (Newcastle - Consett)
15:54 #46 (Consett - Newcastle)

Without looking, I've no idea if the rest follow that pattern.
