RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Michael - 04 Jan 2017 (04 Jan 2017, 10:21 pm)Ambassador Ex London buses seem to have a pretty woeful record in GNE. Though it doesn't stop them buying them The Vykings aren't bad but the B7 Presidents are quite rubbish. Should start to go this year though... Hopefully. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - JP6004 - 04 Jan 2017 (04 Jan 2017, 10:22 pm)Adrian Do you mean to say that you didn't enjoy the Vykings on the 21?? I'd take them over the Presidents any day! Least u can get over a speed bump in a Vyking (04 Jan 2017, 10:21 pm)Ambassador Ex London buses seem to have a pretty woeful record in GNE. Please exit via the middle doors...the first GNE audio announcements...the absolute horror flashbacks. I'm off for a lie down.... RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - BusLoverMum - 04 Jan 2017 (04 Jan 2017, 8:01 pm)Dan I used the X6 today and it was almost full leaving Hartlepool (one of the indiGo Solos was allocated). Peterlee-Hartlepool is a good solid route, quite consistently, despite the fierce ANE/GNE there. Seaham-Sunderland is almost always full of tumbleweed, apart form the drifter, which goes to where people in Seaham actually live! (04 Jan 2017, 8:06 pm)Michael That's good, wonder if it's taking people away from Arriva too? I doubt that many customers will even notice that one ageing single decker has been swapped for a slightly less old one - all most people will notice is the newer numberplate. Internally, the citaros are almost as scruffy as the solars, as the seat back fabric has pilled really badly and the floors are really stained. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mercs are temporarily withdrawn like the Red Kite Omnis were and given a bit of an interior clean - they must be deserving of one now having worked for a solid 8 years. The Omnicities need doing also, as iirc only 5245 has had a full refurbishment and that was well over a year ago. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Dan - 05 Jan 2017 The first three Wright Streetlites have now been delivered: - 5442 (NK66 EVB) - 5443 (NK66 EVC) - 5444 (NK66 EVD) Go North East: 5443 / NK66EVC by Daniel Graham, on Flickr RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Michael - 05 Jan 2017 (05 Jan 2017, 1:18 pm)Dan The first three Wright Streetlites have now been delivered: About time. Looks like Stanley are going to have 2 spare Streetlites now, one less bus for them to worry about too, if they are for Stanley ----- 8328 has been partial repaint into Go North East's new corporate livery... hopefully the rest of the Versa's at Deptford follow to rid of the Simplicity brand. The fleet list only shows 10 new Streetlites arriving, 9 branded and 1 corporate liveried spare. That would only be enough to replace the 9 branded Citaros (including 5292 in instead of 4896) and only 1 of the 5337/8 meaning they will still have the Citaro vehicle type based there (providing that is what you mean). http://northeastbuses.co.uk/fleet/list.php?fleetno=Fleet+No.®=Registration&chassis=Chassis&bodywork=Bodywork&depot=Depot&livery=Livery&year=2017&euro=6&operatorF=2&priorityF=all&soldF= RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017 - Michael - 05 Jan 2017 (05 Jan 2017, 4:14 pm)S813 FVK Would they? Depot Standardization, i can't see them having just 1 Citaro at the Depot. But they won't have 1 less vehicle type to focus on as only 1 corporate liveried Streetlite has been ordered. Unless they go down the 'the new buses are more reliable so less spares are needed' route, one Citaro will have to stay at Stanley for the time being. |
