But depends on if viewing PC or Mobile (i.e. how big your window is) as the content is responsive to that. If on mobile, view the page as 'Desktop Site' through your Mobile browser settings/tools.

RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - Cock Robin - 05 Jul 2019 "I believe 1759 and 4516 are both technically withdrawn already." 1759 is Reserve but 4516 isn't Reserve or Disposal. Both were on 64s on Tuesday. 1759 (and 4516??) has been re-tested since it was first listed for Disposal. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - Ryland - 11 Jul 2019 Decker 742* Solo And a streetlite All parked up at the bottom corner of redcar depot today RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - S830OFT - 14 Jul 2019 The North East will be receiving 6x 58 plate 'MAX' Enviro 400s from Yorkshire. I take it these will end up replacing the 'MAX' Geminis which are now 17 years in service... RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - JM03 - 14 Jul 2019
(14 Jul 2019, 12:41 pm)S830OFT The North East will be receiving 6x 58 plate 'MAX' Enviro 400s from Yorkshire.

Can see these going on 306. Tbh the Geminis work more often than the pulsars and i find them to be a better ride than the pulsars too
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - S830OFT - 14 Jul 2019
(14 Jul 2019, 8:15 pm)JM03

The 306/308 used to be a good set of services, although with the 308 going MAX, then months loosing it's Hybrid vehicles just to receive some VDL Geminis from Yorkshire just totally downgraded the service.

As for the 306, it's not an express service so has no purpose being branded as "MAX", and with some of the oldest buses in the depot allocated just shows it's not the most important service in the depot, compared to 2014 when it received brand new buses.

I think it would be nice to have the 306 in the same livery as the 308, therefore prevents a mixture of brands operating on these services.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - omnicity4659 - 14 Jul 2019 Heard they're off to Durham for the X46
(14 Jul 2019, 8:39 pm)S830OFT

The DB300s are in the same spec as the former MAX brand, just without a crap outdated livery.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - S830OFT - 15 Jul 2019
(14 Jul 2019, 11:44 pm)omnicity4659 Heard they're off to Durham for the X46

That might be the case, although it took a while to have them refurbished. Additionaly they have downgraded the route completely, with GNE investing in the 309 with more features on-board, which seemingly may appeal to a few passengers...
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - omnicity4659 - 15 Jul 2019 Oh GNE have tables, fake wood flooring, flappy seats to put my feet on and next stop announcements... lovely, I'll pay a bit more for that RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - Rob44 - 15 Jul 2019 Have to say i wouldn't let a 306/308 go past just so I can get on a newer bus, with table, wifi etc etc. And Im sure 90% of fellow passengers would agree TBH RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - deanmachine - 15 Jul 2019
(15 Jul 2019, 9:40 am)Rob44 Have to say i wouldn't let a 306/308 go past just so I can get on a newer bus, with table, wifi etc etc. And Im sure 90% of fellow passengers would agree TBH

Depends on how much of a rush I was in, but personally, I used to nearly always let the Stagecoach 4 go past me in South Shields to get the GNE 35 to the Nook 10 years ago when they were new, although if I'd just missed a 35, I didn't mind getting Stagecoach. I don't think I'm the only one with the same mindset either, I appreciate having a nicer place to sit.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - Rob44 - 15 Jul 2019 each to there own but i would think the majority of people only really want to get from a to b in the quickest time possible I now live in a GNE area and TBH when i used to live in an arriva area I cant say theirs enough difference to let a bus go past just for a nicer place sit. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2019 - Ryland - 20 Jul 2019 Following on from the accident 1417 was involved in is it like to return in the new livery |
