RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - omnicity4659 - 12 Nov 2019 Saw the MetroCity being towed along the A1 southbound earlier. Heading past Team Valley, so seemed to be leaving the region? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - Rapidsnap - 12 Nov 2019 With regards to the seats, they be for BF63HDC which did have these seats in https://flic.kr/p/GFdwnp RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - streetdeckfan - 13 Nov 2019 (12 Nov 2019, 11:54 pm)Rapidsnap Hopefully, I've got backache just thinking about those seats. The Solos we had on the 18 had them and I could just about make the 15 minute journey! RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - JP6004 - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 12:00 am)streetdeckfan They are civic v2 seats... RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - streetdeckfan - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 12:02 am)JP6004 They could be replacing the seats entirely. I'd imagine they'd have some Civic V2 (or even V3) seats laying around in a depot somewhere from all the buses they keep for parts. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - JP6004 - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 12:06 am)streetdeckfan A few V3s have found their way into one of Washington's little solos. Be a few more now 5229 has been withdrawn RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - streetdeckfan - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 12:10 am)JP6004 I'm just glad they decided to stay with the V3s for the StreetDecks. I honestly don't think I could sit for 2 hours in one of the SmartSeats from the E200/400s Also, what is the difference between the V2s and V3s? Is it just the V3s are high back or is there something else I haven't noticed? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - L469 YVK - 13 Nov 2019 Talking about the Cobalt & Coast services, good to see that they're being taken more seriously now in terms of not only the investment but also the spare vehicle ratio increasing back to the original pre Sept 2014 level with 2x spares. Hope that the next set of changes see a slightly increased evening frequency (extra services between 2000-2130 as a full half hourly evening frequency would be just a tad steep) and an improved Sunday service in terms of reliability. A more streamlined morning frequency would also be helpful with Sage due to move to Cobalt soon. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - JP6004 - 13 Nov 2019 MG retweeted about wrightbus back at work building and delivering buses. Hopefully not long before street decks arrive Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - streetdeckfan - 13 Nov 2019 Im regretting trying to travel down to Bishop tonight with all the delays. I only just managed to make it to Gateshead from Newcastle with the very short notice GNE gave that the X21 wasn't going to Newcastle Why can't there be a service between Consett and Bishop that cuts out Durham! If I wanted to go look at some lights I would have stayed in IKEA Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - Malarkey - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 5:19 pm)JP6004 MG retweeted about wrightbus back at work building and delivering buses. Hopefully not long before street decks arrive Good to see them back in business however I still think ADL make a better product, been on two of the new E400's on the X30 and I personally thought they were excellent although I will say I do a small soft spot for a few of the Angel Streetdecks as a couple of them have a bit of oomphh about them. Also with having a bit more time to do things with have a week off I took rare opportunity to go a bit scenic with my photos of the E400's, I must be feeling a tad unwell. 6338 - 6339 - Also noted on his twitter is one of the corporate liveried versa's has been repainted black, I have noticed 8320 has been a regular on the 6 over past week having photographed both yesterday and today, maybe an indication as to where some of the Versas will be allocated in the not so distant future.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - Michael - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 7:15 pm)Malarkey Apparently the black paint on the Versa is a undercoat. I hope if they're redesigning brands on the Versa's then the fleet numbers will be in order, they seem all over. anyone know which Versa is in for repaint? - it could be a advert which is going on the Versa too? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - pbjd - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 7:22 pm)Michael Apparently the black paint on the Versa is a undercoat. 8319, should come out in Beamish livery. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - BusLoverMum - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 5:56 pm)streetdeckfan Im regretting trying to travel down to Bishop tonight with all the delays. I only just managed to make it to Gateshead from Newcastle with the very short notice GNE gave that the X21 wasn't going to Newcastle It's not Lumiere, tonight. Preparations have made traffic heavier than usual but there is a collapsed manhole on Leazes Road, near new Elvet and there was a serious accident on Margery Lane, this afternoon, requiring someone to be cut out of their car, which would have taken the overload beyond tipping point. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - Michael - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 8:00 pm)pbjd Glad to see a Beamish livery returning. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - Malarkey - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 8:44 pm)Michael Glad to see a Beamish livery returning. Isn't Beamish closed this time of year though, I only say that as the driver I had on the 8 this morning turned left at the entrance rather than going in as I expected. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - Andreos1 - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 9:29 pm)Malarkey Pretty sure it's open all year round. Thinking about it, I've been there over the winter period a few times over the years. Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2019 - TEN 6083 - 13 Nov 2019 (13 Nov 2019, 9:40 pm)Andreos1 4th November 2019 to 27th March 2020 Open daily, 10am to 4pm. Last admission 3pm. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, and Mondays and Fridays from 6th January 2020 to 14th February 2020. Just had a thought on the bus that was mentioned being Beamish branded. The new bus depot is due to open soon at the museum so I’m guessing this is part of a promotion as Go North East has something to do with the construction of it from what I remember what was said when I visited Hownsgill Depot with the Northern Group Enthusiasts Club last month.
