RE: Scotland Bus Operations - northern156 - 30 Aug 2014 (30 Aug 2014, 8:06 pm)tyresmoke Aye just done a search and it is Henderson Travel's ... visited their depot on our day out to the Commonwealth Games - very welcoming they are too! They had this as their NIS screen, quite nice to see an operator personalising it! They even invited us onto their new E200's which they had just picked up the previous day, to show us what they were like! Pretty sure I saw a few brand new-ish Enviro 200s at Hamilton today, they were pretty smart - unlike the North East and North West tat! RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 22 Sep 2014 Ayr-based Van Hool Astromegas branded for the X77 have all now received personal 'X77' registration plates as followed: 50209 X77 SCA 50210 X77 SCB 50211 X77 BUS 50212 X77 SCC 50213 X77 SCD 50214 X77 SCE 50215 X77 SCF 50216 X77 SCG 50217 X77 SCH 50218 X77 SCK 50219 X77 SCJ 50220 X77 SCL RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Ebs - 24 Sep 2014 Parked outside Alexander Dennis (Camelon) for over a week now has been E200 YX64VPG with vinals at the top of the front windscreen for "Lochs Motor Transport Ltd". I presume as it is a E200 with a Yorkshire plate that this was built at Scarborough, and that it was taken to Falkirk for collection? Lochs Motor Transport are based on the Isle of Lewis, RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Ebs - 29 Sep 2014 Interesting that a few days after the E200 for Lochs Motor Transport (YX64VPG) disappears from Alexander Dennis that an all-white E200 appears at AD that was delivered new to Lochs Motor Transport in 2010: YX60DXR RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Andreos1 - 29 Sep 2014 Totally irrelevant, but everytime you mention Falkirk/Camelon, I think of the Best Western I used to stay in up there. The car park behind the hotel attracted all sorts - normally involving flashing headlights and steamy windows! RE: Scotland Bus Operations - citaro5284 - 23 Oct 2014 Third time in three months apparently http://www.scotsman.com/news/transport/edinburgh-tram-and-bus-collide-in-city-centre-1-3580874 RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Malarkey - 29 Oct 2014 The first of Lothian's B5TL's has been spotted near the Wrightbus Factory in Ballymena, Ahead of Delivery to Lothian, I wonder if these will be making a Pit Stop at Volvo Bus and Coach in Washington like the 7900H's did a few months back. https://www.flickr.com/photos/81709772@N07/15475125227/ Re: RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Dan - 29 Oct 2014 (29 Oct 2014, 10:20 pm)NEBCD Malarkey The first of Lothian's B5TL's has been spotted near the Wrightbus Factory in Ballymena, Ahead of Delivery to Lothian, I wonder if these will be making a Pit Stop at Volvo Bus and Coach in Washington like the 7900H's did a few months back.I believe these are to be assigned to services 3 and 33, replacing the current Wright bodied double decks that operate on these services. Without looking at my e-mails, I can't confirm whether these cascaded double decks are due to replace the last remaining 25ish Darts in the fleet or whether further 7900s will achieve this. Interestingly, a Dart was shown at the Open Doors Day to be trialling some sort of system to upgrade the vehicle's Euro status. I wrote something on the caption of the photo about the system - if anyone fancies digging through my photos to find it. Some of the Darts are also having their seats reupholstered. Whether this is to increase sale value (unlikely - as this didn't happen with the Y-reg Darts) or suggests further use in the fleet, I do not know. To provide an update on the Volvo B5TLs... About two thirds of the 25 are now undergoing testing, ahead of delivery. Would imagine they'd start to be delivered to Edinburgh by the end of the month? Scotland Bus Operations - R852 PRG - 13 Dec 2014 I see Lothian's Plaxton President 34 (W364 PSX) has been transformed into the Grotto bus this year! https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/stuart_montgomery/8282091820/in/search_QM_q_IS_lothian+grotto+bus_AND_prefs_photos_IS_1_AND_mt_IS_all_AND_w_IS_all RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Andreos1 - 31 Dec 2014 What is it with bus company owners and Rangers? As Kuyoyo said, "improvements" are being made to service 113. The service has increased to a 30-minute frequency, resulting in an increase in PVR, hence why two further vehicles have been painted in green and cream.
