RE: Scotland Bus Operations - buss14 - 11 Jun 2015 hi i thought i would give some helpful inforation that may be a slight assistant. the reason why the new streetdeck buses have been delivered or will be delivered to lothain are to release the original airlink buses onto a different service, i think it is the service that has the last remaining of the older plaxtn presidents and 51 plates that either will be sold or should be scrapped depending of the quality and the performance of them . but please dont have a go at me if this is not true because i am just telling you the information that a driver on the 25 bus that goes passed haymarket train station told me RE: Scotland Bus Operations - South Tyne Lad - 11 Jun 2015 (11 Jun 2015, 4:57 pm)buss14 hi Just a little correction, There not Streetdecks there Volvo B5TLs but the rest sounds like it will happen once the new buses have been delivered. Also, Welcome to the forum buss14 RE: Scotland Bus Operations - buss14 - 14 Jun 2015 (11 Jun 2015, 5:19 pm)South Tyne Lad Just a little correction, There not Streetdecks there Volvo B5TLs but the rest sounds like it will happen once the new buses have been delivered.sorry i am not that good on the names of body of the bus, but what the driver told me may not be true so dont quote me on it as i am just going to see what happens when the new buses arrive if they actually do because i tend to see what is happening when the buses go into service and i ignore the drivers judgement usually because half of the time it is a load of lies that why i am telling you to be careful and wait and see what route they are going on RE: Scotland Bus Operations - buss14 - 16 Jun 2015 (15 Jun 2015, 8:25 am)Scott The Streetdeck and Gemini 3 are the same body. The Gemini 3 is built on the B5TL/B5LH chassis, and the Streetdeck is an integral. thank you i understand now RE: Scotland Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 28 Jul 2015 The seating in these B5LHs are...different: Inside new hybrid number 552 by Stuart Montgomery, on Flickr RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Andreos1 - 05 Aug 2015 3 Edinburgh Presidents parked up at Washington services southbound. Presumably moving on to pastures new. RE: Scotland Bus Operations - Dan - 16 Aug 2015 Demonstrator Volvo B8RLE/Wright Eclipse 3 BA15BXS visited Lothian Buses for company management to evaluate earlier this month: the first operator in the UK to do so. It left Lothian on 11th August 2015, and is currently at Volvo Truck & Bus Centre (Midlands) in Coventry. Hopefully now a demonstrator is out, Go North East and other companies such as Arriva will not focus on the Streetlite for long distance routes. Routes such as the Fab Fifty Seven could however manage with Streetlites - the route isn't exactly that long. RE: Scotland Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 17 Aug 2015 Saw former Lothian President SN51 AYP heading south on the A1 just past Berwick. No idea where it was going to but as it was heading south being driven rather than on the back of a tow truck, to another operator rather than a scrapyard.
