RE: Fleet Changes - L469 YVK - 08 Aug 2021

Will be interesting to see what happens if the EV bids are successful (see https://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=3506).

That will potentially release a significant number of StreetDecks & Volvo B9TLs

Are 5499/5500 actually been used?, every time someone uploads a picture from Saltmeadows, at least 1 always seem to be parked up............... seems like a waste, if they aren't getting used.

5500 was often used on the H service but apparently hasn't saw use since July 23rd.

The one down Saltmeadows is 5499. Apparently it has been retrimmed but has never seen service and, as you've noted, just seems to be sitting down there.

Could be awaiting parts.

Would the 09 reg versas go onto the 65 or 62 or both, since 11 reg versas are at deptford for the 2/2a, or the 09 reg up for withdrawl at the end of the year?

They would fit, and one of the morning 62's interwork with the 62. & 202 & 265 are the most popular routes in the indiGO Peterlee route map. But the 65 is getting its own branidng, but also 62 is very busy. So it might make sense painting 3-4 versas in the Peterlee Purples

I’m sure I read somewhere that the 62 allocation will be bigger than the solo, but can’t remember where I saw that

That would make sense and the buses which the indiGO is losing go to deptford on the 33/38/38A. Leading for 673-679 to get the graphite branding

RE: Fleet Changes - EL1TE - 15 Aug 2021

Figured this would be the appropriate place to put this, the X66 Eclipses are supposedly now in service tracking on Bustimes.org.

RE: Fleet Changes - MetrolineGA1511 - 15 Aug 2021

Despite the recent reshuffle of vehicles, I wonder whether many other reallocations/cascades will result from these route changes. I also wonder what the nett effect on the total pvr will be.

RE: Fleet Changes - Tiger5105 - 18 Aug 2021

Fleet liveried B5 6069 is now at Consett depot

RE: Fleet Changes - streetdeckfan - 18 Aug 2021

So on my little jaunt to the cinema this afternoon, I got to try out the B7s on the X66 and I must say they are a marked improvement over the Streetlites.
While I don't find the seats as comfortable as the Civic V2(?)s, the legroom seems to be far better meaning I can actually sit straight!
The ride quality is also far better, as is the sound.

It's absolutely amazing ride like. I will admit the seats seem a bit uncomfortable compared on say the 97 or the 27 or the Q3 seats

Out of GNE's fleet, I'd say the best seats are on 6337, the E400 with the coach seats. After that I'd have to say the seats on the 67 plate StreetDecks/B5s, closely tied with the seats on the new StreetDecks, with my preference being for the 67 plates because I prefer leather.
Then I'd say the rest of the V3s are equal, be it dark blue e-leather or the blue 'go' moquette, with the V2s being worse because of the low back.

Next would be the seats on the X66 B7s, and the other vehicles that use a similar seat.

Then there's the seats on the E200/E400s, I personally find them so uncomfortable, there's too much padding and no support.

Now now, I was merely talking about seating, and as we all know for the more 'exciting' activities leather seats can be a bit too adhesive!
Being wipe clean is handy though! Wink

Maybe pop some pants on next time instead of riding the bus bareback.
