Wonder if 6331 - 6333 might actually be the ones that will end up for the 21 to keep the batch together. You could then repaint either 6376/6377 into the X45/X46 and/or X1 X Lines.
It means you'd have the X1, X45 and X46 all running around with the new Streetdecks, then the X30, X31, X70, X71 and X72 all running with the new Enviro's keeping the oldest Streetdecks 6301 - 6307 as spares across the 3 depots.
Oh yeah I'm not disputing that GNE are more than happy to give a bus a new lick of paint when it suits but in this instance I can't see much benefit in repainting 6304-7 into fleet livery when fundamentally their role is going to be spares for X-Lines services - if anything having more buses in X-Lines is a giant advertisement for themselves.
Like you say I think we could either have 6363 go into X-Lines X1 or 6376 into X-Lines X1 and 6377 into X-Lines X45/6 (or even 6364 into X45/6 and 6376/77 into X1 if they're bothered about consecutive fleet numbers)

Having a quick look at Bus Times, it seems that the reliability on the 16 plate StreetDecks is really quite good, with most of them not having more than a day off in a few weeks

Why would they go into X-lines? The PVR of the X5/X15 is four, and 6065 - 6068 are the four buses branded.
6065 - 6068 are undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road/Volvo. 6069 and 6070 are both in fleet livery, and are both at Volvo for MOT. Once tested they will be shared spares for the 16, 47 and X5/X15, alongside 6064 which is currently at East Yorkshire for further gearbox tweaks.

Yes - the other tables from the ADL E400s have already been re-purposed in the Driver Training fleet and the NHS Vaccination bus.

5448 has moved to Riverside following its repaint from the Durham Diamond to the EG Orbits.
It is now on the 51/52 after entering service again this morning
This leaves 5450 as the last Durham Diamond Navy Blue before the Brand is eliminated to the new Two Tone Blue Diamond Volvo B5LH Gemini 2’s.

Therefore, 6100/01 are the spares each covering a ratio of 1:8.
However, GNE will no doubt keep 6100 at Percy Main to ensure there's enough Euro 6 spares for the 1/309/310/311. That will means 5x spares covering a total PVR of 25x for Percy Main's routes that are Euro 6.
Will be interesting to see what happens with the 327 though.
