MAN EcoCity Repaint/Referbs - Jimmi - 13 Aug 2021
The 14 gas buses based at Darlington depot are the process of being painted into the new 'Green Technology' livery including a seat re-trim. First to be done is ex demonstrator 4813 / WX61HSL: https://flic.kr/p/2mgRpDH
4812/14 are believed to be at St Helens for their refresh, may be a few others away as quite a few are missing from service currently

I looks OK on streetlites but not on anything bulkier.

(14 Aug 2021, 8:57 pm)RobinHood Dammed if they do, damned if they don't...I'll not argue that most of the ANE is overdue a tidy up (and, at the very least, a good scrub inside) but this one makes the buses look less attractive and hasn't been done with much thought for the vehicles it's applied to.

The livery can be tweaked to look a lot better than it does but sadly none of the divisions have the resource or skill to do it anymore, instead relying on templates either drawn by WPA Pinfold (design agency) or other divisions when they had design officers.
The livery application to the EcoCity isn't correct anyway.

4812 has now returned to Darlington after a short holiday to St Helen’s for a refurb, but it’s yet to see service

Any update of the EcoCity fleet? Will they complete the repaints? Will they be staying at Darlington or moving on? ?
