Fleet lists - wibblejunior - 23 Apr 2022

Are there any plans to update the fleet lists on this site (https://www.northeastbuses.co.uk/fleet/)?

At the moment he Go North East currently dates back to October 2020, while the Arriva and Stagecoach fleet lists date back to July 2020.

Additionally, the  majority of the independent fleet lists seem to date back to 2017 (and quite a few of the operators have ceased trading since then). Some of the fleet lists  are also empty (example), whole some of the others display "Last edited: 30th November -0001" (example)

Since they aren't linked from the current site it's possible that they've been abandoned along with the Bygone Era (though that doesn't really need updating by its nature), though it'd be nice to see them being updated again.

Thanks!

Probably not, in all honesty!

The fleet lists section was setup, including the rather ambitious project of collating all independents, at a time all of us had a lot more free time. That time is increasingly scarce these days.

Generally speaking, fleet info, other than from Go North East, is not readily available. When we have updated in the past, we've generally had to pursue it from the various companies. Providing fleet lists to enthusiasts isn't their number one priority, so as you can imagine, this proves to be quite time consuming.

The fleet lists were also added to the site at a time before bus open data was a thing. So on the most part, https://bustimes.org/regions/NE might actually provide what you're looking for.

Ok, thanks!
