RE: Whats made you happy today? - MrFozz - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:02 pm)Tommy_1581 Say what??!!So he must have been between 12-17 when he started...Assuming Citaro means he has 23 years service under his belt RE: Whats made you happy today? - omnicity4659 - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:05 pm)MrFozz So he must have been between 12-17 when he started...Assuming Citaro means he has 23 years service under his belt Ah yes, my maths is a bit out. RE: Whats made you happy today? - omnicity4659 - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:13 pm)citaro5284 I do....started with Go Ahead Northern in 1992 Sorry, I thought that this post was going to be about my maths, you know? I'm disappointed in you, Citaro. RE: Whats made you happy today? - Adrian - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 6:02 pm)citaro5284 I aint that far off....into my 23rd year..haha! Do GNE do long service awards after 25/30 years? RE: Whats made you happy today? - MrFozz - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:13 pm)citaro5284 I do....started with Go Ahead Northern in 1992Long time mate... Was that about the time GAN was split up into Northern, Wear Buses, Coastline etc, can't remember if it was '91 or '92 I remember hanging around on Station Road in Murton waiting to spot the Wear Buses Livery for the first time...Two Tone Green and Grey, stood for about 90 minutes till I seen it on an Optare Metrorider IIRC RE: Whats made you happy today? - omnicity4659 - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:18 pm)citaro5284 Was not going to say anything with it been so obvious that you are a maths genius Thought so. RE: Whats made you happy today? - omnicity4659 - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:27 pm)citaro5284 They do, after 25 years. Wasn't there "Running For You" too? RE: Whats made you happy today? - R852 PRG - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:27 pm)citaro5284 They do, after 25 years. All sound like great advertising slogans...shame you don't see things like that these days! RE: Whats made you happy today? - Adrian - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:27 pm)citaro5284 They do, after 25 years. Something to look forward to then! I've got my 10 year one in about 18 months time, but I have absolutely no idea what it is. I'm pretty sure ours are every 10 years until 50, at which point I think they assume you're either retired or dead... RE: Whats made you happy today? - Adrian - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:29 pm)MarcTheA4 All sound like great advertising slogans...shame you don't see things like that these days! There used to be another one for Northern - "We co*ldn't r*n o*r b*ses witho*t "u"" RE: Whats made you happy today? - MrFozz - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:35 pm)aureolin There used to be another one for Northern - "We co*ldn't r*n o*r b*ses witho*t "u""Is that pic taken at Concord mate??? Whats made you happy today? - R852 PRG - 27 Mar 2015 To be honest, I reckon Go North East could do with a slogan that is easily recognisable. RE: Whats made you happy today? - Adrian - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:36 pm)MrFozz Is that pic taken at Concord mate??? It is yeah. Long gone are the days of the mighty VR, but we do have Cadets. (27 Mar 2015, 8:38 pm)MarcTheA4 To be honest, I reckon Go North East could do with a slogan that is easily recognisable. As long as it doesn't involve putting the word "Gotta" in front of everything again. Whats made you happy today? - R852 PRG - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:41 pm)citaro5284 If I last that long...remember Dan works with me now! *Dan doesn't make any posts for 2 days - everyone assumes he's dead.* RE: Whats made you happy today? - northern156 - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:38 pm)MarcTheA4 To be honest, I reckon Go North East could do with a slogan that is easily recognisable. "I've got the key...." No Sean, please don't start that s**t again!! RE: Whats made you happy today? - MrFozz - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:42 pm)MarcTheA4 *Dan doesn't make any posts for 2 days - everyone assumes he's dead.*Have you actually ever assumed someone was dead, then get a shock when you see or hear from them... I thought my best friend from the care system was no longer with us, then got a message 4 years ago on Friends Reunited from him assuring me he was alive and well, as shocked as I was, I was actually happy and quite emotional to hear from him as we were brothers from another mother so to speak RE: Whats made you happy today? - Dan - 27 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:42 pm)MarcTheA4 *Dan doesn't make any posts for 2 days - everyone assumes he's dead.* If he's making comments like that, you'll all be able to assume citaro5284 dead next week and be right! RE: Whats made you happy today? - Rapidsnap - 27 Mar 2015 Years ago, we thought this customer had died. Turns out he went on Holiday to the Scottish Highlands. Mind saying that, I bet a few spotters have wondered where I've disappeared to over the winter, as I haven't exactly being active in the hobby lately. RE: Whats made you happy today? - MurdnunoC - 28 Mar 2015 (27 Mar 2015, 8:31 pm)aureolin Something to look forward to then! I've been where I am for eleven years now. I mistakenly thought there was a long-service award after 10 years. I felt a bit silly when I went into the office to enquire about my extra week off. |
