(01 Jun 2015, 9:27 am)Diamond One The services which I think should be Stagecoach Gold should be 1, 10/11 (Newcastle), 12, X20, X34, 63/X63, 38, 39/40 I was gonna say 100 but it's pointless as it only goes to 2 stops

I think the ''Gold'' specification is generally given to those routes that are not only high earners, but are long-distance and in need of an upgrade to make them stand out more in the market.
With the 39/40, for example, they're not exactly comparable to the 300 service in Cumbria, which is Carlisle to Maryport, a very lengthy journey. Whereas the 39/40 are cross-city routes. Even though, in my view, the Hybrids seem fine on the routes, if they were to receive an upgrade, it could just be the addition of a few more facilities that can be found on Go North East and Arriva's most prominent routes; not sure they would be upgraded to the ''Gold'' standard.

(29 Jun 2015, 5:47 pm)AIG20 37303/4 have apparently arrived. There is an image on Facebook of 37304 over the pits at South Shields depot alongside a few other vehicles. It appears to have had logos applied but still needs it displays programming.
Preserved Ex Stagecoach North East 33101 (R101 KRG) has now moved into the "Tyneside Heritage Vehicles" shed in Felling, Gateshead.

(29 Jun 2015, 8:38 pm)buss14 so with the influx of new buses does that mean that some buses might be transferring to walkergate or slatyford depot
hope there is because it may be nice to have some different buses around
(14 Jun 2015, 6:39 am)Dan The loan of the two Volvo Olympians to Walkergate was not noted on Stagecoach North East's official Fleet Allocation documents either, though photos on Flickr and sightings noted on this forum certainly suggest it did happen last month, unless we are suggesting that all of the photos were digitally edited on Photoshop and those who sighted the Volvo Olympians in Newcastle are deluded?if Slatyford were to get new buses in i can easily get them dead quick now thanks to my little sister she lives near the depot yes she did used to live with a cat which has been living with us since March 2013 which is my cat since March 2013

As the temporary loan was not noted within the Fleet Cards, the return was not noted either. However, as I live near the Stagecoach Sunderland depot, I am able to confirm that at least one Volvo Olympian is back at Sunderland, as I saw it last Sunday when heading to the rally at South Shields...

10/11: Tend to have ALX300s allocated so probably not worth while upgrading Gold, but could do with newer buses
39/40: Use hybrids, so probabley good earners, so would benfit with Gold specification hybrids

They just become float vehicles, I believe. The drop is only for 2 months, so they can't be usefully utilised elsewhere, I'd reckon.
