(19 Mar 2019, 9:48 am)V514DFT If its the noise i think it is,19202 had the same noise,a few of the hybrids are starting to do it too, what actually happened to 19202,i rode it once, then never again

19442 was making a rather loud metal-to-metal noise, the sort of sound you'd hear from wore out bus brakes - but obviously when it was accelerating! Could hear it from my office at work when it was going past! It's been resolved now I believe.

19202 transferred to East Midlands (Lincoln) two years ago from Walkergate with 19201. They joined 19142/6/7/8 which they received three years ago on the back of the E400MMC investment on 62/63. If I recall 19201/2 became surplus on the back of service changes.

(18 Mar 2019, 11:02 am)Ianthegoon 10635 now confirmed as also being at Cheltenham, although on the day I made my observations it was lurking at the very back of Cheltenham garage suffering from some radiator problems, and was therefore not identifiable at the time.

And all arrived back Saturday afternoon.

(18 Mar 2019, 8:22 pm)glen1234 Are the  stagecoach teesside no 36 buses getting  we branding again.

No Stockton won't be re-branding them.

Not legally, but I have seen passengers disembark at Heworth before, presumably they asked if it stopped and driver agreed to stop...

They usually get off at Heworth when they have been away with the fairies and got on wrong bus at Newcastle. Beats me how they don't even realise they have gone over Tyne Bridge and not realised then they are on wrong bus and get off at Gateshead.

How long have the X24/34 not stopped at Gateshead Interchange. I nearly accidentally stayed on X24 too long a few months ago.

It's been around 2 year now since the X34 served the Interchange, both the X24/X34 only serve Gateshead High Street now.

What's the reason for them not stopping at the interchange, is it just to reduce the journey time by a couple of minutes?

Presumably that, and to avoid departure charges for using the bus station.

It isn't a massive cost but does mount up. I think someone on this forum got some numbers a few years ago after putting in a FOI request, you might be able to find the post somewhere.

In other news, 22040 and 22044 both noted at Alpha Recovery earlier.

(12 Mar 2019, 11:30 am)RBZ 5459 24113 and 24114 are getting Cummins engines at some point - no other ones were approved for the NE on the programme sadly. Disappointing really as the likes of the East Midlands have 10 or so. The Metrocentre Enviro would of been a good candidate.

Rather ironically...

24105 has re-entered service at Stockton today following the Cummins modifications

Modifications also include new gearboxes too which are mapped to how a Euro 6 should perform..

Same lump that's in the E200MMCs but the heavier MAN chassis must hinder it, resulting in a sluggish ride for maximum fuel efficiency it would seem. I went on 24115 a couple of weeks ago, and it's not exactly lightning fast. Drivers seem to like it as its smoother at least. https://youtu.be/qJO6YqDwRSo?t=110
