(23 Jun 2022, 1:53 pm)Jimmi In the past it's been allocated a Scania Omnicity, in later years would be one loaned from Darlington as think it was because they had a Ferry lift at the front.
Wasn't it something to do with the ground?

Could be the same again as 4654 is reinstated at Darlington, so if it’s till around then maybe it will be that, although I’m sure 760-762 all have ferry lifts aswell so could borrow one of them providing there all fixed

So from 7th August 2022, there’s changes to service 22 and 23, 49/49a

22 still every 30 minutes daytime between Durham and Peterlee , then hourly service between Peterlee and Sunderland.

https://bustimes.org/services/22-durham-...2022-08-08

23 still every 30 minutes daytime between Hartlepool and Peterlee, then hourly service between Peterlee and Sunderland.

https://bustimes.org/services/23-marina-...2022-08-08

24 still the same.

Looks like the 49/49a timetable changes from the same date

49 from a 30 minute service to 2 an hour spaced out with the 49a going from every 30 minutes to hourly , 49/49a combined a 20 minute service instead of combined 15 minute service.

That's if they run. No evening 22s last night from Sunderland for a couple of hours.

Had to drive my friend back to Peterlee, before doubling back and onwards home to Northumberland.

I don’t know if it was driver putting wrong destination up but at Asda Hartlepool earlier the 24 had Peterlee and not Durham as the destination so not sure what’s happened there. It won’t be good if some 24s have been cut back as well.

If this was the 22:51, it continued beyond Peterlee to Durham as scheduled. Not sure why it appears as a split journey at Peterlee though.

Wonder if the train might have had an impact on numbers, if you live to the East of Peterlee, it would be much quicker and easier especially with all the cancellations etc.

Very much doubt it, it’s the only way to save a couple of buses (and also up to 4 drivers?) as short on drivers.

Trains are noticeably busier since Horden station opened and the covid restrictions were lifted. Are they all people who got on at Horden though? No idea.

Aye, I've heard that aswell. No doubt it's where some of the X10 passengers have moved to aswell not that I'm really complaining. More passengers along there might push a 30 minute service as it's a shockingly bad frequency for a line that connects 2 major metropolitan areas and some large towns on route aswell (Peterlee, Seaham and Hartlepool)

Once the second platform is sorted at Hartlepool, I reckon it will free up a bit more space on that line.
