So now Sunderland will have

22 - Sunderland to Durham - Half Hourly?
23 - Sunderland to Hartlepool - Half Hourly?

I'm glad it looks like Arriva are giving us a new service, it is their home city of course, shame they can't give us a few more routes!

I think Darlington are continuing to use Solos on the 21, Stockton use Scanias on 21A (which is what the morning X21 will run off) and Durham I'm not too sure but I would imagine a Pulsar. Unless it runs off the 24X in which case it'll be a decker.

Thanks, the loading's must be decent from Sunderland to Peterlee, if we getting a 3rd service there, be interesting to see what GNE do, when they see they have launched a 3rd service to Peterlee...

If these contracts go ahead, i really hope Arriva get Sunderland's lot!

I think the market in Sunderland is sewn up to be honest.

Going back a few years, there were probably more opportunities - the frequent services offered by the other two and the death of the villages in East Durham, have probably seen the end of those opportunities.

The only thing they can do, is expand on what is already on offer, by offering potentially faster journey times - such as the x21.

Going back a few years, there were probably more opportunities - the frequent services offered by the other two and the death of the villages in East Durham, have probably seen the end of those opportunities.

The only thing they can do, is expand on what is already on offer, by offering potentially faster journey times - such as the x21.

Ye, not many places they could go, as Stagecoach and Go North East both have established routes.

I do hope Arriva win LOT 1 from NEXUS, if it happens
