There's a network map of Stagecoach in 2005 before it went aswell which has it on, pretty much the Q3 nowadays even known there was a gap of about 10 year where it didn't exist. Bit off topic but it's quite impressive how similar the network is today.
The information on the fares is very interesting too

(30 Sep 2020, 10:48 am)V514DFT Look how many services they had 15 years ago, do you have anything earlier than that one you posted?

I don't, I just used the Wayback Machine

There's some network maps from 2006 for the whole of Nexus land here though - https://web.archive.org/web/200702170748...ea%2Bmaps/

and most the timetables aswell - https://web.archive.org/web/200609270930...+Full+List

If you toggle along the dates you can get later and earlier dates aswell. Just shows how much things have improved in the last 15 years, oh wait.

It all comes down to money over customer satisfaction these days. Which I had a few million to be able to put people first.

I think the wayback machine is slightly btoken, i went to look at timetables and maps from 1999, it took me through to the 1999 nexus website, when i clicked timetables on the nexus site,it said it was 1999,but i looked at the timetables and they were all dated 2009 for some reason

I don't think you can before 2006'ish on the Nexus site as they didn't have timetables on (or it hasn't been cached). Even then it's a bit buggy with a few of them not loading.

Mill Lane, Whitburn Village has been closed today and will be for the next four days due to resurfacing works.

As a result, services E1 and E2 have been diverting via Lizard Lane, Whitburn and apparently cars and buses have been getting stuck due to parked cars.

It is bad enough along Lizard Lane for just the E6. I cannot imagine how bad it would be with all three routes using that stretch of road along with all of the Coast Road traffic.

It was most certainly closed from around 9am until approximately 4pm, it was opened southbound first then eventually opened in both directions around 4.30 pm. Yes getting along Lizard Lane was a nightmare at certain times.

Normally they start them mid-November, which obviously isn't going to happen now because we will be in the middle of lockdown again.

Stagecoach Corona Timetables show it in operation on Saturdays also.   So I would say yes as that's both the operator and nexus stating it operates.

Change to the 18/18A in Sunderland

Service 18, 18A – Revised timetables. Buses will additionally serve Pennywell Aldi from 16 November

From Monday 16 November 2020, the routes of Services 18, 18A will be revised in the Grindon area.

These revised routes will provide a new link across to Pennywell Aldi, at the request of local residents and councillors.

Buses on these services will be revised to operate a clockwise loop via Gleneagles Road (west side), Gartland Road (west side), Sevenoaks Drive (east side), Chester Road, Greenwood Road, Gartland Road (east side), and Gleneagles Road, then normal routes.

As a result of this change, buses heading towards both Gilley Law and Southwick will always operate this new loop in a clockwise direction, picking up and setting down customers on the northern side of Chester Road, just a short distance from the new Aldi store. To ensure they catch the correct bus, customers boarding on this loop are recommended to double-check both the route number and destination on the bus as it approaches.

As part of this change there are some minor amendments to times, with buses passing some intermediate points slightly earlier or later than before. However, frequencies remain unchanged.

I guess as more public subsidy is given to bus companies, more changes could likely happen to improve local links.
