Heard on the grapevine that the 8 (Stagecoach), Sunderland to South Hylton service will be removed from South Hylton due to low numbers and terminate at the Broadway, if true, it's massive blow to the people who live down that way, older people more unless NEXUS are planning to extend the 8X to cover it.

Wonder if the Sunderland network will change once again this year....

I can't see the 18 changing that much to be honest, there is always a handful of people on it when I see it round my way but the 18A doubles up as a school bus for St Aidan's so I doubt that would be changed even if the 18 is. If theres any changes I imagine just minor timetable adjustments.

Question: Does the number 1 that operates to the cobalt interwork with service 22,if not could they not do that?

They don't as of now but i guess it could be a possibility but the 1 is too infrequent id say. Also it goes clockwise around cobalt going the way the 22 used to

Is the reduction in the evening X20 and 30 part of Nexus cuts to secured services or Stagecoach cuts. Also is the X20 still commercially operated on a Friday and Saturday evening?
