Community bus service offers help to residents in Darlington.
http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/11...arlington/

Can't blame the people of Brafferton not wanting to walk three-quarters of a mile to reach the nearest bus stop, especially as there is no footpaths and it is not a very wide road

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this thread, please move if you think it would be better somewhere else.

Great to see a project like this get off the ground, but a crying shame that they've been abandoned in the first place.

There was never that many passengers boarding in Brafferton when service 5A used to go round there also it was tricky trying to get Pulsars and Enviro 400s round the tight twisty roads.

It's not the only part of Darlington to be cut off because of council cuts and Arriva only serving main roads, I imagine the people of Sadberge and Neasham will end up using this by soon as I can't see the Scarlet Band service 20 still running this time next year as the passenger numbers are woeful.
