If my maths is correct (probably isn't knowing me), a total of 81 new vehicles would have arrived when combined with the 16 StreetLites, 11 Citaros, 16 vehicles for the 56, 14 vehicles for the 58 and the 13 Geminis that were ordered for the TEN, more or less ending this years purchasing of new vehicles.

There's actually 12 Scanias branded for the 20/20A which is also the PVR. Also, the 13 Geminis for the TEN would be counted as deliveried in the 2012/13 finanical year therefore remove them, and add 12 new buses for the 20 and you get 80.

Don't think any more will arrive but we have the Green Bus fund.. nothing has being confirmed from that yet so that MIGHT add more new buses to the list, the new buses will help get rid of more SPD/DAF's and rest of the yellow buses.

Hi everyone, first post! Hope they dont buy Steetlites for the 58 as I had the demo on 58X home on Friday and it really struggled on its way up on Split Crow Rd, even made Darts look powerful!

Hello, unfortunately I have to disagree. All vehicles will struggle with the hills on the 'Citylink' 58 route, as the majority of the hills are very steep - especially Split Crow Road, Coldwell Lane and Wealcroft. The articulated Citaro's find it very difficult and practically "red-line" first gear as they climb, which surely isn't very good for them. They weren't designed for hills and only have small turbo-chargers making them unsuitable.

It's best if they're replaced, and from what I've found when travelling on the demonstrator, the StreetLites a definite improvement.

Vaguely interesting diversion news is A167 closed from 7pm from Harlow Green to Eighton Lodge this Thursday

The 21 will be diverting via H Green, Easedale Gardens and Long Bank.

X2 will divert via Allerdene and A1 to Eighton Lodge

I quite like the Citaros but theres never a day goes by without a branded bus from another route on it. In the past couple of days Ive seen a Tyne Expess B7 and a Fab 57 B10 on it.
