Afraid I still can't get my head round the allocations for our x93? Redcar currently have 8 deckers, in theory, available yet we've got Temsa 4720 deployed on what will be the 1025 trip ex MBS, a trip which I thought, with it being a Bank Holiday, could well be busy and warrant a decker? On the flip side of this 20 does seem to be in good fettle.
Don't know anything about these Volvo B10BLE's that are coming down to Redcar, oother than what I've read on here? They sound like a decent machine but don't think they are tacho fitted?
Thanks David. Never ridden them, just wonder if they'd be good on our x93?
Looking as though the change to running the Whitby services down the coast (x4/4) has been a masterstroke? Like Tyresmoke I'll be interested to see/read how things work out when the season gets going and if we get a good summer?
(02 May 2014, 11:49 am)tango Sorry if this has been asked previously but I'm just curious as to what extent the omnicitys are being refurbished to? Will they be getting the cream grab poles and same flooring and seat fabric as the pulsars, or is it just more of a general tart up of the interior

Will the 85/685 vehicles which have leather seats be transferred to other routes (as the passengers have 'rejected' the slippery seats and Arriva have promised fabric covered seats) - or will the leather seats be replaced?

(02 May 2014, 1:43 pm)Kuyoyo 4643-51/5-7 are to be refurbished to 'Max' specification with leather seats. 4660-2/4 will be done to standard specification with the same interior as the Pulsars. What will happen to 4652-4/8/9/63 is unknown at present.

(02 May 2014, 2:46 pm)Tom So they won't be done to the same spec at 4653? I think having uncomfortable seats for a long journey is unacceptable.

I got it! Love the Ommis and pleased they are to be dobe, disappointed Redcar are losing theirs but hey ho, got them on the X66 and I read that Stockton are keeping theirs, which I guess could benefit from a respray.

(01 May 2014, 4:55 pm)Kuyoyo 1766's move is ahead of the 168 moving across to Belmont from Classic.
Further PVR allocation changes are as followed:
Stockton
28 and 29 swap over - 28 is now allocated Prestiges and 29 Cadets
Ashington
35 allocation is now split - 3 workings for B10BLEs (those to be upgraded to Streetlites later in the year), and 3 for DAF DB250
X22 now down for 4 deckers (DAF DB250) and 2 singles (B10BLEs)
Durham
6/42 remains interworking (no mention of a 42 board) - 10 boards are allocated Pulsars while 3 are down to be allocated DAF DB250s
Jesmond
No chance
Redcar
Change to X3 and 81 - 2 81 boards now down as OmniCity worked while 3 X3 boards are allocated Pulsars

We really need to move on from this HOURLY bashing of the X93 it is so boring now. It's like the 'Latest Category' is now the 'Lastest rant about the X93 category'.
The Darlington NHS Solo's have been Debranded and are now plain white. They are probably due to be repainted asap.
I have been a little critical here, particularly of our friends at Redcar? In fairness some if it was kinda 'deserved' but here is not the place to air these opinions and also it's quite right to look at the bigger picture before giving voice. Tyresmoke has been good, via the PM system, in answering some questions and giving me a little bit background in what's going on, and I thank him. It's now a period of transition in a number of areas with new fleet arriving and such like; I'll be watching with interest what goes on, particularly down here on the X93, X4. In the meanwhile I'm doing what Richard says and stopping the backstabbing and moaning.

Thanks for that Scott. Haven't said I won't moan but let's just see what happens over the summer? Have commented already about the X4/4 ? Sure they are gonna struggle with the loadings on that? The Streetlites are 44 sweaters, right? And what about the timings? On paper they look fine, but a busy day in Whitby, sun blazing out of a blue sky? You get the picture?
