That MPD is 1712 as it is the only Vxxx DNL MPD that Durham depot has. They decided they'd rather have 1712 than 1302 (which should have transferred) apparently because of its history with regards to breaking down. 1302 must be really bad then if Durtham would rather have 1712!

Those Darts are horrific, they had developed a troublesome reputation when they were on Service 7.

I had 1312 on Service 6 between Spennymoor and Bishop Auckland this afternoon and it was slow as hell and sounded rough.

Didn't even realise the Vxxx DNL vehicles were still about.

Can only guess the ones palmed onto GNE were the worst of the lot and they were poor even then.

Blyth had 1733 on the X14/33/57A circuit yesterday. Meant a lot of winding numbers and destinations every time it arrived in Morpeth where the service numbers change.
