(13 Jul 2013, 3:08 pm)dans_bus_photos You'd have thought it would have went up Chester road, and then turned left at the Hastings Hill

That's why I assumed the 20 and just timed the next departure without looking at the timetable to see if it was the first run or not. :p

I would expect it to have been replaced once it got into town due to the section between the town and the docks is secured by nexus. Last time i seen an enviro 200 taken off the 4 to replace a bus on the 5

A couple of interesting workings at present on Teesside, and they are:

16833 on the 37 (1633 from Stockton High Street North to North Tees Hospital) - it should be replaced at some point on its way to James Cook
16835 on the 36, replacing 24102

The Olympians are on effect not allowed on the 37 past Park End due to Marton Station bridge being too low.

I'm told that Shields' E200 36473 is at Sunderland for maintenance. Should be going out (but it may have already been out by now) on road test shortly for anyone wanting to catch it in the Wheatsheaf area.

(18 Jul 2013, 4:49 pm)Wellsey18 10000 is working the X63 today dunno if this is for a while or just today

10000 on the X63 again today, a few normal E400s on the 39 & 40s too, so presumably a number of hybrids OTR.

Also a few notes from yesterday - 14670 was on route familiarisation in South Shields ahead of the launch of the 998 Shuttle next week. Trident 17026 was at the Wheatsheaf - reason unknown. MAN 22485 also at the Wheatsheaf undergoing repaint.

(22 Jul 2013, 7:15 am)Liam Should be 14671 currently in CitySightseeing South Tyneside livery.

A few adjustments are needed, which involves removing/covering: all citysightseeing logos, the official tour stamps and English Heritage verification.

The "CitySightseeing" logos have been covered with "South Shields Shuttle" logos.
The official tour stamps have been covered also, but the English Heritage verification stickers remain.

May also be worth noting that the leather "CitySightseeing" seat moquette has been retained also.

Final run finishes at Shields 1612.
Interesting to have it based at Newcastle still. Taking into consideration the very few passengers that used the service today (towards late afternoon, that is), I find it hard to believe that operating the service could even be justifiable if it's operated by Newcastle rather than Shields. Funded or not funded, I'm shocked.

As far as I'm aware, it has always been operated by one of the Newcastle depots.

It used be seen on a daily basis, heading back along the Felling Bypass after a day at Shields
