(03 May 2014, 11:38 am)AIG20 I've heard that the Tridents at Stockton are non DDA buses (since they are "S" registered vehicles). So is it likely that Stockton may get Ex-London Tridents in the future, as well as Slatyford for the Sightseeing services? The Sightseeing Leyland Olympian are approaching their 25th Birthday, so I guess they may need replacing soon.

To be fair all they have to do is make the Macmillan contracts fully termly passes and off bus revenue - and thereby can be unregistered services, which have no need to operate with DDA compliant vehicles.

(03 May 2014, 3:27 pm)James Moss Mccrossan why say your not pleased with me say 33101 is in Hartlepool cause it is here so what's the problem
Something needs to happen at Hartlepool now as they are "On The Edge".
By this I mean, they have very little to play with Spare Bus Wise
5 Groups of services: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 2 Engineering Spares, 2 Spares & only 1 Reserve.
So if! 5 buses break down, you're stuffed as there are always going to be a couple off the road for either servicing, repaint or PSV Test.
The fact that 33101 has had to be sent to Hartlepool & pressed into service proves my point.
(03 May 2014, 3:57 pm)AIG20 Can a full sized single decker work on Hartlepool's services, or does this depot's services involve too many tight corners, and so on?

(03 May 2014, 11:59 am)Richard Smiles Glancing at the current Fleet Cards (and excluding Reserve & Awaiting Disposal Vehicles). The non-DDA Vehicle stats are currently as follows:
Walkergate Depot = 100% DDA Compliant Fleet.
City Sight seeing = 5 Vehicles (The Open Top Double Deckers).
Slatyford = 12 Vehicles all 22xxx MANs.
South Shields = 100% DDA Compliant Fleet.
Sunderland = 15 Vehicles all 22xxx MANs (wiped out when GAS Buses arrive).
Hartlepool = 100% DDA Compliant Fleet
Stockton = 47!! Non DDA Compliant vehicles comprising of 4 Volvo Olympian Double Deckers, 6 ALX 400 bodied Trident Double Deckers & 37 22xxx MANs of which 25 should be wiped out with arrival of the 25 E300s. That still leaves 22 vehicles to be replaced. Still a lot compared to other Depot's in the North East Group of Fleets.

(04 May 2014, 11:40 am)AIG20 I think 22072 - 22082 are all being displaced to Stockton, as apparently there may be non DDA buses left when the 23 Gas Buses enter service. I do not know what will happen to 22021 though. That will either go to Slatyford or Stockton or will stay in Sunderland.

(04 May 2014, 11:35 am)Michael What else will Sunderland loose as there's 23 gas buses, some of 22072 etc?

(04 May 2014, 12:03 pm)Richard Smiles Michael, there is currently an allocation of 27 MANs at Sunderland
15 Non-DDA, 12-DDA.
The 15 Non-DDA compliant vehicles will clearly be wiped out with the arrival of the GAS Buses, together with a further 8 out of 12 of the DDA Compliant vehicles (220xx) tallying 23, so at least 4 of the 220xx will have to be retained to make up the current balance of 27.
I do wonder however whether 6 of the 220xx batch will be retained at Sunderland in order to release & replace a couple of 351xx Darts to Hartlepool to replace the two lost reserves 33488 & 33492. Clearly something is needed otherwise why send 33101? in the first place.
As for the rest, they will probably end up at Stockton, so that when the bids go in for Next year, Stagecoach NE can say we have 12 non-DDA vehicles at Newcastle (Slatyford), that need replacing.
Just to add Michael, if you have a look at the Busways (Inside) Fleet Card PDF. The non-DDA compliant vehicles are highlighted in a light yellow background.

(04 May 2014, 12:14 pm)Richard Smiles The 351xx Darts I think (without looking) are 06 plates (8 Years Old),
33101 is still running & is 16+ Years old, so I think the Darts will be around for a while yet.

As has been reported elsewhere on the Forum today, specifically Stagecoach (Fleet News) Stagecoach on Teesside's (Stockton Depot's) 25 x Brand New ADL E300s 27157 - 27181, are scheduled to be delivered to Stockton Depot during September & October of this year.
However, I have seen & heard conflicting reports with regards to a Specific issue with these vehicles, so felt the need to investigate further & got a response this afternoon.
With regards to the 86 x E300s on order for the Stagecoach UK Bus Fleet this year, Numbers 27101-27186, but in relation to my specific question regarding the vehicles for Teesside (27157-27181), I have had it confirmed, that these vehicles will be powered by Euro 5 Engines & NOT Euro 6 units, though Stagecoach do have a number of vehicles On Order that are Euro 6 specified.
Therefore, the vehicles heading for Teesside 27157 - 27181, will be of exactly the same specification as those used at South Shields on the E services,( i.e exactly the same as 27723 - 22740). I hope that clarifies the situation.
The limited number of Euro 6 units/vehicles being bought, is due down to cost, as I gather at this present time, the difference in price between a Euro 5 specified vehicle & that of a Euro 6 specified vehicle is an additional cost, of around £20,000.
(05 May 2014, 6:04 pm)JoshP I can't seem to find the correct category to speak about this even in they bygone area but here it goes...
Is anyone able to tell me what the Stagecoach routes in Darlington were prior to their demise in 2007? I remember the 25a/b and that is all...
