Why the hell did I decide to go to Ashington again, it's a ****hole and that's putting it politely.
(06 Jun 2015, 2:43 pm)mb134 Go to Morpeth and Bedlington instead, more variety, less err, Ashington-nessNow on the 35A to Morpeth on 7518 and it's far too warm and the front seat legroom is far more pitiful than I remember it being and the WiFi doesn't work.

(06 Jun 2015, 3:05 pm)Dan Mind, you're brave... Heading to Morpeth at this hour when you've got to get back to Aycliffe! Marcus wants to learn a trick or two from you.I know, I left the house around 0750 this morning and Lord knows when I'll get back now.

I could teach Marcus some things about outings should see what I've done today. Probably never going to do as much as you have done in the past, I highly doubt you'll be seeing me getting shots of GNE night services such as the N21 as I'd have to stay out all night and into the next morning.

(06 Jun 2015, 3:18 pm)Dan I had intended to go to Durham at 16:00, making my way back to Sunderland via the 24 and 22 route, but that went out the door when I started yawning at 12:00...Lazy!
Didn't even bother staying out for the second OmniDekka as it involved a half hour long wait in Newcastle... I've walked a fair bit today though, in the first part of my outing!

(06 Jun 2015, 3:24 pm)Jimmi Lazy!
Last Saturday I walked up that hill leaving Beamish Museum that you (think it was you) were moaning about before and I got up there with ease although I often do level 20 on the hill mode on the treadmill at the gym.
I will be honest I thought I was going to fall asleep on the X20 to Ashington.

(06 Jun 2015, 3:27 pm)Dan Well I moan about just about anything, but I'm not guilty for that one: it was Marcus!Dread to think how far I've walked and also travelled on buses today.
I have walked a sufficient distance today... As attached.

(06 Jun 2015, 5:19 pm)Tommy_1581 Also, I agree. Much prefer DARLINGTON.I do think the mighty Darlo gets a bad time on here. Yes, the town centre is a pain to get photos in, but some of the journeys operated are cracking, with some of the best scenery around. Mind you, it's been a while since I've been to any of the other regions bus stations, interchanges or random collection of badly placed bus stops as a passenger so maybe I'm being deluded!

(07 Jun 2015, 9:30 am)Jimmi It's just the poor stand layout that really irritates me in the town centre and sometimes it can be a pig for photos due to light and pedestrians walking in front of the camera although you get that other places as well. You are right about routes from Darlington that have good scenery I'd strongly recommend the X75/X76 and Scarlet Band 84 and I think there may be some other good routes as well.

(07 Jun 2015, 10:30 am)Charles41 I used to like the old United bus garage and station at Feethams. Very handy for spotting. I was in Darlo last week and noticed it has now been demolished. You used to be able to get a direct bus from Newcastle to Darlo but now you have to change at Durham.
I like that there is an Arriva service that drops you off right outside their Faverdale garage. Saves a lot of walking!
