Typical.

As soon as I spend £4.49 on some Athlete's Foot spray the irritation and itching instantly subsides without application. Honestly, spending money, for me, provides the perfect placebo effect.

Unless you've encrypted your drive, then you could just shot the drive out, stick it in a caddy, and back up any data on it. Something like this will do the trick - http://www.ebuyer.com/482879-xenta-2-5-u...re-gd25108

You'll obviously need another machine to connect it to via USB. Better finding that than losing all your data though.

After each outing, I transfer my photographs to a 1TB external hard drive. I then upload certain photographs to Flickr, and if I've already taken several photographs of a specific bus which I've got another photograph of, I'll archive the photo for use at a later date. I've been taking photos since 2012, and I've used up 142GB worth of memory on this external hard drive, so I still have just under 800 GB left to play with. The amount of photos I've taken has decreased over the years, so I can only imagine that it will last me a good few years yet.

I keep any important documents on USBs, as these aren't too memory intensive and it's easy to store a memory stick.

In this day and age where external storage is so cheap, it's mad not to back everything up. As you say, there's even the option to back up on cloud-based storage such as Google Drive.

It's not the iPlayer that's doing that. It's the device you're trying to watch it on. I've just tested myself and it looks fine?

To make matters worse I am now getting "you don't have enough bandwidth to play this right now" since my sister went on her IPad.

I'll blame BT and their crappy WiFi for that one!

The fact i have to buy a bus pass this year for college starting Newcastle college in September...

Although its only £217.00 for all zones per term (3 terms) - so its only £651 for the year... but i'd rather spend that money on something else..... Tongue

Jumped on the 17A in Stockton and a pensioner stood in the aisle waiting for some woman to get on who was at the back of the queue and I wanted to sit near the back and he just stood there not moving, I wouldn't care but there was only a few other passengers on-board and they were all sat towards the front and how this other passenger is supposed to sit next to him when he's stood there and I'm stood there. In the end he moved slightly but left me very little room to move so I ended smashing my bag with my camera inside.

(17 Aug 2015, 8:02 pm)R852 PRG I do have an interest in aviation, it's strange because I love the different liveries of planes, how majestic they look in the sky, but I have a strange hatred of flying itself. A mixture of post-9/11 worrying, long journey times and that god awful crap they call airline food. jet2 are terrible in my opinion, flying back to Newcastle with them on Thursday.

I haven't heard many good things of Jet2. I usually tend to fly BA, purely for where I want to go (usually Madrid, capital cities in Latin America) and I have to say, having flown on US/AA/AeroMexico after BA long haul and short haul, you definitely notice the difference in service. It's just a shame some of the 744s feel very worn out. The 77Ws are amazing to fly on. I still miss when they used to have the different tails representing different countries.

Although, I have to say my KLM have annoyed me in the past. I flew LED-AMS-NCL with them to get home for Christmas, before flying the same route in reverse back. On the way from AMS-NCL, I saw a little tug speed up to the side of our 737, and I saw a Tog24 bag with gold string around it - I knew it was mine. We were already late and had we been any earlier or on time, it wouldn't have got on the flight. Luckily, they shoved it on.

On the way back to LED, my bags didn't have such a good trip, as they got left in AMS. Had to wait three days to get them back. I wasn't happy as H&M/Zara/Pull and Bear in Russia usually cost a good 25% more due to import and air travel of goods. And now, I refuse to fly via AMS!
