(01 Sep 2015, 9:31 pm)aureolin These things happen! I was pleased to get a run out on it in the end, and thankfully it wasn't overly crowded, with only about 10 of us upstairs.

We were hoping it was minor - after all, we ran out of back-up vehicles, considering we weren't legally allowed to travel on 21037. We were allowed to use it as a break room (and it did bring the group's stall back as we didn't want to take H106 back onto the field during the heavy shower.

(01 Sep 2015, 9:39 pm)aureolin 6 and 2x 3s for me as I needed both.
I wasn't that fussed about riding H106 yesterday as I rode it at the 500 Teesside Running Day and I certainly made sure to get to the stop when I saw the Atlantean going out on the shuttle. I also got to ride the Newcastle Busways Atlantean at the Kirkby Stephen Rally.

(01 Sep 2015, 8:42 pm)Dan Aye - exactly that haha...

That's why my interest remains more or less limited to what Stagecoach Sunderland / South Shields had in their fleet when I was pretty young - 'tis what I grew up with! Will never be able to understand the Routemaster and Atlantean craze but I guess it's because they were well before my time.

I'm pretty much the same. Atlanteans, Metrobuses, Bristols (VR and LH), Olympians (Leyland) and Nationals were commonplace when I was young with the odd coach here and there. I don't have any particular affinity towards Routemasters either although, I guess, location plays a small part here as, for example, if I lived in London they'd probably be a familiar sight from my childhood.

The same applies to steam trains.

I will trust your historian knowledge on this one, Mr MurdnunoC!

Took me awhile, but just to confirm...
