(01 Oct 2015, 8:04 pm)Jackamcardle I hope that they don't get Omnicities but wouldn't it be possible to brand a few Omnidekkas for busier workings as well as the OmniCities?

I think Omnidekkas will be allocated to the X32 runs anyway (running onto 6/X70/X71s at Newcastle). It'd be nice to see some omnicities come back. We can't go Omnicity free!  Smile

The thing that baffles me the most if that the 46 is going to be every 10 minutes between Newcastle and Rowlands Gill. How will that work if it's not the whole route?

The routes are already notorious for 2 running seconds/minutes behind eachother at a 15 minute combined frequency. Doubt they'll add any extra journeys in.

(01 Oct 2015, 8:01 pm)S813 FVK On the Toon Link matter: I think it would be logical to assume that it will be Omnicities operating the revised X30/X31/X32 with 5250 and 5253 being repainted black (5254 and 5273 will probably follow). Obviously, 4 won't be enough to cover the PVR so it could be possible that some of the currently branded Omnis will transfer to Stanley.

Sadly we don't really know what the changes to the services in the Newcastle area including the Highwayman and current Toon Link services are, so it's hard to guess completely what allocation changes will occur, however if no other services join the Toon Link brand at Riverside I imagine that the PVR on the current Toon Link services would drop with the 31 no longer running via the Metrocentre would probably cut the journey time which should see the PVR drop so I think the above could happen. Alternatively I think a red spare from another depot could possibly be repainted black.

That's what I don't get at all.

If they were every 20 minutes extending to Consett then the times would be dodgy (like the 38 in Tunstall Bank) in places only the 45 or 46 serves, can't think of any other ways they could do it really.

Could the up to 10 minute frequency between Rowlands Gill and Newcastle include the 47?

Could do (and probably will now youve mentioned it). However, as it didnt mention the 47, it baffld me a bit.

That's what I was thinking, but I'm a bit confused how that would work seem as the 45/46 currently run a 15 minute combined frequency so I don't know how a 10 minute frequency between Newcastle and Rowlands Gill on the 45/46 and 47 would work unless on the 45/46 there is going to be a 10 minute gap between two journeys then a 20 minute gap between the next journey.

This is what it says for the 45/46 changes "The timetable is also revised to provide a service up to every 10 minutes between Rowlands Gill, Metrocentre and Newcastle"

Its probables going to be mentioned in the Gateshead changes although it should be mentioned in both.

It does but not sure what else could be allocated to the X30/X31/X32.

Edit: Unless all the current ToonLink services will be dropped with the X30/X31/X32 taking over...

Then what would be used on the new 11/11A/12/12A.... Citaro's?

Hopefully the Gateshead changes are out tomorrow.

The design of the current Toon Link branding reminds me of the cover for Ross Noble's Nobileism DVD.
