Rallies and events
Tomorrow (Saturday April 21st 2018) you can have some rides around the Bishop Auckland area on preserved OK Motor Services Leyland Tiger LFT 5X: http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/lo...ke_return/
Journeys will depart from the Halfords stop on Bob Hardisty Drive, adjacent to the railway station, at 10.15am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3.30pm and 4.15pm. Travel will be subject to capacity and free, but donations towards the vehicle's upkeep are welcome.
Spotted these in a leaflet I picked up recently.

The Newcastle one is excellent - I did it last year. It uses the Aycliffe red Bristol L and had live narration with someone from Newcastle Council who clearly knew their stuff. The Sunderland one uses one of the NEBPT vehicles but is a full day and I've never sampled that one.

This will be a simple out and back trip using one of the NNRG's Volvo B10BLE's. Photo stops at Spennymoor on the way out and Chester LE Street Burns on return.
We will leave at 2.00 prompt and to be back around 4.30-5.00.
Anyone who is wanting to come along with us please email me at nnrg@btinternet.com
Thanks.
Who is going to be attending the Scania L94 farewell event at Saltmeadows Road this coming Sunday?
The NNRG will not be bringing 5217 or any other bus. We might be turning up for a run out tho.

(10 Dec 2019, 10:12 pm)Andreos1 https://tpexpress.co.uk/travel-updates/d...le-changesIf I had a pound for every time I've heard a TransPennine service has been cancelled in the last month or so, I would have enough to go away somewhere for the night, maybe two at a push. Being kept awake at night wondering when I will receive my Delay Repay claims.
Have you seen this? You may not be getting that TPX after all!

Details of this year's rallies have gone up on the NEBPT website. Looks like the NE Festival of Transport at Seaburn is defunct, though the Sunderland and District Classic Vehicle Society and NNRG are running a similarly named event in Durham County Hall car park.

North East Bus Presvation Trust website news says Bus Rally date for this year will be decided once social distance and restrictions are lifted
The NNRG are due to have a depot open day at Philadelphia as soon as restrictions are lifted. Also we are hoping to have a event at our depot around the same time with other preserved buses attending. More info will be posed near the time.
